"There's no way to be a perfect mother but there are million ways to be a good one".

RKC has managed to show three types of mothers to the viewers.

Satrupa got to bear her children by choice, Sudha gave birth out of venegance towards the man and his family that betrayed her. Third mother Madhu received that priceless gift of being a mother by destiny!!

Pagli pandithyan didn't experience the pain of childbirth in case of Anami but she had the blessed privilege to taste the challenges ,experience the joy and satisfaction of bringing up a child. Adoption is not a sacrifice or something extraordinary it just shows the person is ready to love and embrace a person who's not blood related. Relationships cannot be defined or limited to blood alone. I believe not everyone has the ability to take such a decision,it doesn't make them any smaller or less compassionate than someone who's adopted. It's all about accepting people as they are without putting people into categories or pedestals based on individual opinions .

A mother hears a child's pain even if the child is far and a mother reads a child's mind even if the child is silent. Pagli pandithayan could have treated Anami differently but she was attuned to her child's feelings.
Pagli pandithayan was able to read anami's pain every year on the day called birthday. She read her mind over the phone, just by Anami's voice she could understand her child's turmoil . She did what Satrupa couldn't manage to do all these days. The mother by blood has been going about her business treating Anami not as a daughter but as her property something she has Haq to by blood. Is blood everything? Her confident smirk when the DNA test became positive, to Anami that smirk will be read as she's a matlabi mathaji, using her for her own benefits! But is the benefit more for herself or for someone else? Anami is on that journey of knowing her birth mother.
I don't know if the motherly instinct is absent in her or is it something she has buried underneath her tough personality to avoid getting attached to Anami or is that unexplainable guilt? Satrupa has been quiet a good mother to Vatsalya but when it comes to Anami's it's a different story, she's been unable to be a mother to her abandoned child.
If she was really bothered about her past deeds, if she felt guilty about her selfish act of giving off the girl child then her heart should have read Anami's pain. There was no acknowledgement of her daughter's emotions. She was in her selfish hypocritical bubble daring to question Dadaji forgetting that when one finger was raised against Dadaji the other four was pointing towards herself. If Baldev is acting thick headed despite proofs Satrupa is also acting thick headed, ignoring her daughter's feelings and neglecting her rights as a person to be who she wants to be. Satrupa is selfish for her own reasons. She thinks she's supposed to be understood and acknowledged without any explanation from her side. At the moment Neither Baldev nor Satrupa can claim to be the better parent here!! There's no doubt nor is there a question of who deserves to be called Anami's mother!!

Satrupa is a complex person I guess her relationship with Baldev, Lal mahal and her history with Baldev's past changed her into a very cynical but strong woman. She's not here to justify her acts to Anami but she's here to make her fit to be called heir of Royal steel. Satrupa's sole aim is that her blood takes over the reigns in the next generation. She has been scarred and feels insecure after the revelation of Narottam Sudha existence!! Her insecurities are masked under nonchalance and unemotional approach towards life.I doubt she's thinking about what if Anami was the one in place of vatsalya. That decision of keeping vatsalya must have got to do with the Narottam angle and not the beta will be waaris not beti alone.

Sudha the mother who brought her child into the world with the sole aim of using him as a pawn for her venegance against Baldev and the family that took away her rights. We see her ignorant or rather insensitive to her child's need for love and acceptance. She's encouraged him to self inflict himself, the moment she sees he's deviating from her set path of hate and bitterness she pulls him back into the twisted maze of lies and deceit. One needs to think if she would have continued in this path had Narottam questioned her? Prodded her? If she had a person around her to show she's wrong than a person who silently agrees to all that she says and does. She's a mother too but so unlike the other two!!
If Anyone needs to be called matlabi it's Sudha!!

These three women show mothers are humans they're imperfect but they're bonded to their kids. Some bonds are healthy while some are destructive but let's not raise them to a pedastal! They're after all humans too.

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness..

What a deep post Benna, and I see that its coming right from your heart. 🤗
You have brought about a fantastic notion that juxtaposes the world's first and most precious relationship known to a human, the relation of blood, of love, of power, of blooms and of nothing but deep seated trust that instills within us a faith to make us who we are. And ironically, it is this very relationship that forms and imparts strength to most of us, if not all, no matter whether the one who brings us into this world is there to watch over us or not, the love resonates around and lives on...forever...

Being a mother is an attitude, not a biological relation.

Madhu Pathak, the barren and parched soul who was deprived of motherly satisfaction is blessed one fine day when she becomes the mother to an abandoned child and her heart acknowledges the tiny bubble of hope that looks right through soul, stashing it with the love that bursts open and embraces the little life who is dependent on her. And the rest as they say is history.

To Madhu, Anami is her lifeline. They are bonded for life through the years that have gone by that Madhu has duly spent in nurturing the young and fierce lioness that Anami is today, giving her the sanity of a home and the shade of her love, so much so, that Anami is willing to take on the odds and challenge the negatives, just so she is united to the mother her heart loves and cherishes.

And true to a fact, Madhu to Anami is the face of the mother a child longs for and would never want to part with, until eternity and beyond.

Perhaps, it takes courage to raise children

Satrupa Baldev Singh, is the viscountess who has spent her life in correcting the wrongs that were thrust upon her by destiny, and the one who today stands corrected in her judgement of giving up her child. Yes, she wronged. Yes, she is a reflection of sins that she had committed once. But deep down within that tough exterior of a baroness lies the vulnerable mother whose scared to lose, whose dared to hope again and the one whose willing to fight to get what she thinks is her's.

And the inane need to undo the blemishes has pushed her into an introspective interlude where she adamantly acknowledges that whatever she did was to protect her children, to save the little souls whom she had nurtured within and brought to life. But the irony of it all is that she lost out to fate what she was desperately clinging to protect, her heart being stabbed and stashed out from within her as her beckon light departs to heavenly abode.

So what we see now is nothing but the caricature of the woman that was, the mother that was, one who is capable of love and yet, she cant dare open the deep recesses of her innermost self and accept her daughter whose within her reach and yet, so so far. And as she waits on the sidelines for that one sign of acceptance from her daughter, the only thing she faces is resistance and opposition in her war to give Anami her due. But Satrupa is unstoppable and far from giving up, because fight she must and fight she will... for winning over Anami's love that be her undying salvation, lo and behold.

And as we embark on this journey which traces the path of Anami's quest to do the right and serve the just while protecting her loved ones, it will be interesting to see how both, Madhu and Satrupa, rise to become her armour and sword, pushing her to take on the demons as the world around watches by.

Imo, but Sudha to me is not a mother and definitely doest come across as one, so I will not write about her at all, she is just a clawing woman whose set out to seek revenge and nothing else. But yes, a word of appreciation for Gayatri whose the kind and approachable mother figure, not just to the likes of Baldev, but to Anami as well.

Once again, I would like to congratulate you for such sheer brilliance of thoughts that you have penned so lovingly here. Thank you !!

i feel cvs are going to justify satrupa action in long term
because when dadaji didnt announced waris truth we were keeping even dadaji on pedestal if he can make satrupa a business woman his bahu then why not anami as she is his own blood and grand daughter
but now it came in front that he cant consider girl child as heir
baldev is not ready to accept anami in fear of satrupa saat roop
but dadaji is now confirm that anami is really his granddaudghter
and now even baldev is softening from what i can see from yesterday the look he is giving to anami action
i feel dadaji is more dark than it is shown
it could be revealed later that dadaji was somehow even have connection with his own daughter the way gayatari crave for granddaughter or her love for anami shows it all
maybe it is possible that he was having a daughter and he killed her and thats wy dadi is craving for daughter although dadi not know this truth but satrupa came to know and thats why she took descision to give away her daughter instead of first born
because i feel from starting cvs are going to justify satrupa action thats why they have not let satrupa tell anything on the questiion why she left anami
she has not said anything with her mouth so i feel there is something deep which will be revealed later
although i dont want but i feel it will come
as its clear satrupa is not a sexist she loves anami not more than vatsalya but not less than him even
this is the reason she is not openly showing her love to anami
she has just become a coconut she is tough from outside or made herself tough but is very softy or wounded inside which noone knows or she dont want anyone to see
i know its very easy to say that do this or do that but when time really come and test on you you will come to know its not that easy what we are thinking
anami will decode satrupa although it will take time but she will and will even heal her mother
i dont know but i feel for satrupa alot because i love her as she has not don any bechari awla nari act and crying but she has made herself strong which in real life we even do but never harm others like shudha or narottam she has also been wronged to marry a man who has an illegtimate son inspite of this she doesnt treat narottam like a crap or is doing badla badla with dada

Been my love!!! awesome post 😃

There are 4 mothers in this serial. One who is forever giving - pagli pandityan, one who is somewhere selfish and somewhere a caregiver, that is Satrupa and then the third one is blinded by rage and revenge she has never given her pure unconditional love to Narottam. And last its Gayatri who has somewhere given everything she could to Baldev but somewhere she has also wronged Baldev by not standing up for him when he was being omitted from his family empire.

Satrupa hasn't been able to connect to Anami. She is connected to Anami by blood but not by heart yet. Blood is not everything. For me the adopted parents are much bigger mother than the real mother who brought the child into this world. Pandityan has brought up Anami as her own child knowing very well she isn't hers. But the bond they share is of utmost love between a mother and a daughter. Anami is nowhere close to even respecting Satrupa, let alone loving her is a long way off.

But as shown in flashbacks, Satrupa was a great mother to Vatsalya. But Vatsalya is not Anami. Anami is daring and headstrong. She has always defied odds even in Benaras. Satrupa cannot even begin to understand how to deal with Anami. I hope the CV's focus on how Satrupa tries to understand Anami rather than forcing her to do things the LM way. But even Satrupa has transformed into an LM member so she cannot understand how Anami isn't able to adjust. LM is not Benaras. There is hardly any freedom even though they claim they are aristocrats.

Every one of the mothers have been wronged in way or another. Yes Sudha is selfish but she may have been wronged too. I am waiting for her story to unfold. Was she always this conniving or she has become like this in blind rage for revenge? That would explain why she is in mental hospital.

Dreamer, while I concur with you about Pagli Panditayan, I will reserve my opinion about Sudha for now and do not completely agree about Satrupa.
We really dont know what her story is to draw this conclusion that Narottam is an outcome or rather a tool for vengeance. Yes, right now, he seems the pawn in the game but the beginning is something which lacks clarity. Was Sudha thrown out after she had a kid or did Baldev dupe her with false promises only to leave with a kid or did Sudha use the kid angle to trap Baldev only for it to backfire or was LM her motive all along and did she seduce Baldev.. so on and so forth.
All these possibilities lend different renditions of Narottam's existence. Sudha could have become matlabi later on and not necessarily at the onset. That way, personally, I do not see much of a difference between Satrupa and Sudha. Both are self centred and true to Anami's repartee to Satrupa today, she thinks of the impact any action has on herself/ her motives.. even if its through her kid.
She has yet to think of those times she lost with Anami, have not made an iota of effort to understand what maketh Anami.. her hobbies, her passion, her past life in Benaras etc etc.. All her activities for Anami revolve around her getting groomed for LM and RS - to groom her to take the mantle of ownership.. Anami is not a person to Satrupa... atleast unlike Vatsalya..

Thinking of Baldev here, the Casanova did interestingly end up with relationships with two strong women.. must say something of his choice!
