I also watch it online. I do not get it here on TV. But I hope the online watchers also matter to the channel.

A very impressive serial indeed. ANd every episode I think is the best and then comes a better one. 😊

@JJKKL when did those things you mentioned became essential for the success of a TV serial. In late 90s when a woman called Ekta Kapoor started making serials. Before that there were Doordarshan serials. Finite ones. The ones which I saw in high school days and pre degree days. Phir wohi talaash, Neev, Samandar, Junoon, Shanti, Udaan( This is faint memory for me as I was in 2nd or third, but it was about a girl's dream to become an IPS officer), Tehkikaat, Reporter, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Talash, Manzil, Kshitij yeh nahin the list is endless. All beautiful stories. Much much progressive than what is dished out on Indian TV now.
For 10 years I had not watched an Indian TV show due to its regressive unrelatable content. It is only in the past 4 or 5 years I am watching some chosen few shows. And RKC at this point really takes me back to those good old days.

I cannot help wondering, how can the majority of people relate to these shows aired nowadays?

@jhinka the problem is my mom's generation watched such shows extensively as they could connect to it.
Then a teenage generation grew up thinking this is the truth as that was what they were seeing. I do not mind my mom' generation watching it. But it is very unfortunate to see the young generation appreciating abusive MLs and forced marriage and Suhaagraat's, feeling happy to see the marriage than the career aspiration of a young leading lady.

When I came to IF 4 years back I was surprised by the people's craze for Suhaagraat as if that's the only thing that matters in a story. And justifications of abusive MILs, abusive MLs, hypocrite FLs, I could never understand, how can the so called educated people support such things.
