I am emancipated by the Chakravyuh. So are you -

So much has been written about yesterday's episode. Written wonderfully by many writers here. I am sure I cannot add anything more to it. With my limited skillsšŸ˜†. But here is what I feel after watching RKC for so many days.

I am freed from my previous beliefs and thoughts. To love a serial I no longer need

  • A passionate love story
  • An angsty young man
  • Trip,fall and catch
  • ML hating women
  • ML whose mother left him
  • A 24/7 ready to sacrifice FL
  • Or big lectures on Khandaan, Sanskaar, Parampara, Rasam etc
  • Villains (of both genders) who are sarcastic, use repetitive phrases and heavy makeup
  • ML intimidating the FL, ,grabbing her wrist, forcing bangles, applying Haldi and what not
  • Intimate dance
  • Wait for Suhaag Raat

And the list goes on...

Love you for this post. Captures my thoughts exactly!
What deluded shows do we that such regressive shit is being peddled. And then we have our own RKC smashing the others to smithereens.

If this show doesn't deserve 3 or 4 TRP, what does! Honestly what does, guys!

So true!!! I have the same mindset now... Initially, I thought I can only love passionate love stories with ML hating the FL then thought I can only like realistic love stories with no falls , slips , no wind blows etc., but RKC really changed my likes and dislikes. The story is really gripping and the taking is also good. Hope they maintain the same quality till the end.

You mean you don't need another Rangrasiya. Or IPKKND? šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜† Never watched either show when they were aired though.

However, Anami is already going to sacrifice her freedom in Benaras. Hopefully the creators of this show will not make her farther sacrifice at the drop of the hat.

Also, there is a terribly angst-ridden half-brother and another angst-ridden guy who may or may not become the romantic interest in future. But wonder of wonders, neither of them is given the role of a lead character! *Phew*

After a longgg time, all characters appear to be critical to the plot. It is an exception compared to the usual fare provided on Indian telly, which I stopped watching altogether in '12. A good show to give a chance, no doubt!

Mogambo khush hua indeed!

RKC is breaking all the stereotypes in Indian Television.
I think, to make a show successful, there is no set formula. There are N number of shows running on the same age old formulae, but hardly any one of those is eye catching. What makes a show popular is, how well it connects with the audience. And for that connection these are must:

1. Good story
2. Good story telling
3. Good writer/screenplay
4. Good director
5. Good editing
6. Talented actors
7. Believable costumes šŸ˜†
8. Believable sets
9. Good music/background score
10. Well sketched characterisation
11. Most important- soul in the whole story. That humane touch, which this show fulfils to T.

And RKC have all these elements perfectly balanced. And thats why, I think it is touching so many hearts...

PS: I am no expert in TV shows, please feel free to correct me, if I have written anything irrelevant.

So true! While trying to catch the RKC episodes on Hotstar, just came across some other prime time shows. My god, who designs those costumes? And to think they get paid for it!

šŸ˜† Exactly!
And who in the name of God, wears them in real world.
