Seriously? I wonder how many of you have watched the movie to participate in this discussion. Reviews..what kind of reviews we are talking about? Those that vary from person to person. A lot of which are biased and from people who are full of hatred and perhaps jealous like Salil Acharya because Sid is so effing good looking. I have watched the movie. It's a good time pass. Much better than BKD. Sid is not at all a bad actor. He did a great job in double role. A lot of people who saw the movie and have intelligence loved the movie. Some people like to pan everything. A gentleman is a great watch..humor, thrill, action and stunning visuals all in balance.

No two people are alike and neither their tastes. If some feel OTT is good acting and if other section of people think subtle is good. None of them is wrong,,it's just preference. So many people review a film and their review is not same. My point is don't ignore the good reviews just because it's Sid M who other actors can't match in department of looks, and don't ignore the bad reviews that other actors get.

A lot of Varun fans need to chill instead of getting all worked up on Sid's release. Judwaa 2 is coming soon . Enjoy. I'll also enjoy because Varun has done nothing wrong and I like him.

Sidharth is here to stay and you never know when he'll turn into Salman or Akshay. Sidharth was f*cking awesome in "A Gentleman". Good movie. Go and watch it for yourself.

The thread is not about the movie. I haven't watched the movie and will never watch it. The thread is about sid's star power and that can be examined without watching the movie. By looking at the box office numbers, it's obvious that his star power is non existent. The movie made 3.75 crores day 1. That's embarassing for an action movie.

Sid got good reviews for K&S but in his last two flicks he was ripped apart not onlybtge critics even

Well .. I just watched the film today. And it wasn't great but honestly, it was not that bad (by bollywood standards). And Siddharth was actually pretty good in the film. I liked how the story was revealed and the dialogues were fine too. It was no masterpiece but well, bollywood rarely ever makes any exceptionally good films. It was a fine potboiler to be honest. And the actors were alright too. I would have expected the film to do better than it actually is doing right now.

Even Sid fans don't hype his star power.

And people having objection about Sid being included in upcoming stars like along with Ranbir/Veer/Varun... complain about that to the media... Sid is associated with a big name like Kjo... SO obviously media will hype him in comparison to other outsiders.
