In a famous English daily from Kolkata, Anurag Basu's interview has been published. There Actor Rajatava Dutta who played cop in JJ has asked Anurag a question, His answer is in mixed of Bengali and English so I m trying to translate only this question... .
Rajatava - There is a Distinct hint at the end about a sequel and since many scenes had to be edited out because of the length, have you considered keeping those bits and making the film as a two part project?
Anurag- Ronnie Da's(Rajatava) two scenes have been edited that's why he is asking this question!(Laughs). But Ronnie Da I can't put the deleted scenes in the next film. and if there is a sequel u will be definitely be in it. But on a serious note, the only person suffered most because of length is Ronnie Da, his best scenes have been cut. It was painful for me. as far as a two project film or sequel is concerned, half of the next film is already ready. now let's see. the idea of a sequel was always there... the ending itself shows that and irrespective of box office, Ranbir and I had decided on a sequel.
