Munna Micheal collected less than Jagga Jasoos despite having 75% more screenings. It did manage to collect more in some circuits but that was mainly due to single screens. The Jagga Jasoos opening was below the mark but here it is a step lower and the growth of Jagga Jasoos is simply impossible due to the wide release.
The problem with both film was that they failed at a promo level and 8 crore was about the best they could hope for. Jagga Jasoos managed it probably as it had stars while for Munna Micheal the Mumbai circuit did not come as it should for this type of mass genre which would have pushed it by 1 crore nett.
