Some very valid points. I like that line about even the most enlightened people shy away from criticising him. This is so very true. All the pseudo-type journalists and opinion writers who waste no time in bringing down anyone else all seem to bow down when it comes to Ranbir.

Credit where credit due of course and he is a good actor but reality is last few years the audience really hasn't taken to him much, yet no one lets him take the blame for it.

Chalo somebody agrees that Ranbir is just another mediocre actor. He is praised just because Bollywood insiders have no real talented people and talented outsiders are a threat to them.

This line In Raajneeti, even the wooden-faced Arjun Rampal out-acted Kapoor, but it was the latter whose acting ability got a massive endorsement. 👏👏

But just like the girl who exposed his reality was threatened and all proof was washed out from the web the same will be done to this writer as well.

The article is at times unnecessarily harsh on Ranbir, but does a good job at aptly summarizing why I dont like Ranbir.

The fact that he is non-stop promoted by KJo and other industry elites as some messiah of BW is cringeworthy itself. Then there is the fact that he just looks too privileged and doesnt fit in a hell lot of genres.

I agree with this article. I just can't understand why the industry Guys insist on calling him an outstanding actor when he isn't. He has been fairly inconsistent in his performances. The only movie where I felt he actually performed and deserved accolades was Bombay velvet. In all others I just didn't understand the hype. Even in Ae dil hai mushkil... I didn't find his acting great in fact in the initial portions it looked like he was trying to be some character which neither he nor we understood. Comparatively Anushka was far superior , so were Ash and Fahad. Same goes for Tamasha and YJHD where Deepika was far superior to him. Finally someone is calling him out on it

What does the whole industry owe the kapoor khandan that they will go through such rigorous plotting and planning to showcase him in great light? Last I heard they are always planting fake PR against each other..What does the critics owe him that they praise his acting abilities iin every movie despite how it runs at the box office. I would also like to believe indian audience are not that dumb that they will fall into any kind of propaganda that bollywood creates otherwise every star kid would be at the top today. This makes no sense to me.
