I don't have anything to add to this because I don't feel I would be able to articulate as well as the writer has. Ranbir is a good actor no doubt. But being a star kid, he has had the privilege of being hailed as the next biggest thing only in the first few years of his career.

The same holds true for Alia and Varun too, who aren't even average actors IMO.

This opens a new dimension of nepotism which is not limited to offering first movies or subsequent ones after failure, but turning mediocre actors into something extraordinary.

The article is just as flawed, exaggerated and non-sense like that Shobha De's article on Fawad.

Yeah BW peeps are so jobless now that they will start creating propaganda and etc. for his sake. The Kapoors ain't that influential, given someone like Aamir sing his praises too. This sprouts no sense at all.

BW is being showcased as some sort of mafia now that can decide anyone's fate.

However I do feel, he is a decent actor...one of the best of his generation but limited, can only excel in certain roles which all he has been doing till now. Yes, sometimes exaggerated but this article just beats it off.

can he write another thesis on salman khan and how his being human propaganda helped him, inspite giving a multiple 6 consecutive flop/disaster throughout his career ? i m sure he will need atleast 50 pages to analyse his career.

That ladies and gentlemen, is the very definition of nepotism in BW today.

Substitute Ranbir for any other star kid and they get the same privileges although Ranbir is the most favoured among them all except probably Alia. Now that's another one who's regularly fawned upon by other so-called great actors and said to be the Best thing since sliced bread.

Still Alia is better in that the other star kid girls are so much worse. But Ranbir brings absolutely nothing to the table. He's a one trick pony pulling the whiny self-pitying confused manchild role in every film.

Can he do Ranveer Singh's role in Ram Leela or Bajirao? Not a chance Can Ranveer do any of his Wake up Sid or Rockstar roles? Hell Yeah and probably would bring some more nuances to the table.

Can he even do Varun's role in Main Tera Hero or Badlapur? Not a chance. he already tried that kind of thing in Besharam and BV and fell Phutt on his face.

Ranbir is the most talentless star kid right now and worst out of the current gen and yet he still considered a superstar somehow and getting choice films.

This article is bit harsh on RK.. but I agree on certain points like media & critics praised RK to the sky for his each and every film.

But RK is a good actor esp in movies like Barfi, Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year..

I never watched ADHM but this scene i saw just now is batshit crazy. This film should have had him outed as a batshit crazy Raman Raghav type psycho serial killer who loses it at the end and outs himself and then Anushka and Fawad have to be rescued from his Buffalo Bill type of den at the end. That's the character I'm getting fro this scene. People call this acting. Gah.

I like Ranbir Kapoor the actor but I feel like banging my head whe he is compared to the likes of Khans, Akki, Ajay or even Hrithik who is ibdustrys last superstar literally...Forget about the stardom these people have Ranbir is not comparable when comes to acting..What has he done except playing man child on screen? Yes he is perfection in those roles and that may be an achievement of sorts for him and his hardcore fans but its time to move forward..The author is too harsh though.I loved wake up sid, yjhd, rocket singh, rajneeti and even rockstar.. there was some freshness which Ranbir brought to those roles apart from playing them well..now its annoying to see him doing same thing again and again in craps like ADHM..Neither he is talented like Aamir nor he is charming like SRK nor hero material like Sallu to do the same thing again and people to appreciate even their craps..

Ranbir is a good actor and likeable too but he is an one trick pony at least till now whatever he has done.the overhyping is killing his apetite is what i feel too..let him struggle and try in his way..nobody can survive unless there is an audience connect..Ranbir has to find his audience..Ghost of the great Raj Kapoor or fake praise of industry people are not gonna keep him floated life long..he has to realistically see his non existing stardom and stop believing the shit like audience is not mature enough to understand his high profile shits(keeping Jagga out of it as i havent seen it)
