Bollywood & Indian location

Remember old Bollywood movies ! Village kinda movie with Bihari tone language ( now it's Punjabi touch )n lots of desipan but slowly slowly foreign location introduced which was refreshing but nowadays too much foreign location are ruining movies IMO.

I do not understand Bollywood's obsession with foreign locations. India has tons of beautiful places. There are a wide variety of sprawling cities, quaint villages, and all sizes of towns in between to add their own idiosyncratic charm. I understand a few foreign set movies to woo the NRIs, but I don't understand the investment in foreign locations when India is more economical. I can only assume kickbacks, tax breaks and other benefits from tourism promoters.

That's one of my pet peeves, no actually a major annoyance (among many others) with BW

"Why movie makers dont want Indian touch in movies .Why majority of movies are filled with those characters who don't live in India ?" - One of the reasons could be bcz western movies don't have them and Indian filmmakers now blindly copy them :-)

I heard Pondicherry streets are linear and cleaner, look diff than rest of the country maybe bcz of the French rule

in bw hindi/Punjabi/Urdu/Persian/Arabic all sounds one so it's difficult to say n it's not regional(hindi) it's world cinema
