16. The Love Game
Finally
the four players fall on the ground tired to the core.
"That was an awesome game" Malavika says excitedly
"Yes it was" Vinod joins the gangš„³
"Heellooo Baava... Great to see you.." Vinod greets Rana
"Feeling really great to be back here"
"I've never seen you playing with us.."
"That's the magic of the company that I got here"š³
Rana gives a naughty look at Satya and Prasanna
"Yeah that's there.. " Vinod shares his mischievous smile with Malviš³
"Ok let's pack up for the day" Prasanna announces
"No way.. I just came here midway from my practice, thinking to continue here" Vinod declares
"Come let's go" Malvi joins Vinod in the court
"Great.. Mr. Coach now it's your duty time.. Carry on.. And Sweety, shall we?"
"What?" Satya asks in confusion
"Let's do our duty.."
"And may I ask what's that duty?" Prasanna intervenes
"A lot can happen over coffee" Rana's flattering dialogues continue to annoy his friendš
Vinod and Malvi get involved in their game and forget the outside world. It looks more like they are playing a love game than a sport game.
Malvi is acefully dribbling the ball through her basket when Vinod runs behind her and lifts her up in the air to shift her direction to shoot the ball outside. Next moment he drops her, running to get the ball and there she goes chasing him. The kids literally act like kids having lots of fight & fun with the sport that both love.
"Mr. Coach, you better go and save them before they kill each other..." Rana adds "with love" after a pause
Prasanna goes off with no heart to go leaving Satya alone with his flirty friendš
After an hour when Prasanna finishes his training with Malavika and Vinod, he turns to find Satya and Rana missing from the place where they were sitting all the while. He is irritated on not seeing Satya around and not sure for how long because he was very much engrossed in the coaching.
While he is sitting and rehydrating, he hears laughter close by He looks up to find Rana and Satya walking towards him. Satya is holding a tray which is filled with some juices and quick snacks. Unknowingly a smile spreads on Prasanna's face seeing her care. She keeps the tray next to him and he just eyes it for a while, turns the other way with a smile to himself. He remembers their little dosa moment at her house.
"I told you he doesn't need all this" As Rana says to Satya, Prasanna grabs the orange juice and takes a good sip out of it
"This is so good and just what I need" Prasanna and Satya share a quick eyelock saying thanks without actually saying it.
Malavika and Vinod join the party and they become a noisy group. š
After a longtime of fun and teasing, the group finally decide to retire for the day. Vinod and Malavika want to go for a ride.
"Sattam, you must be tired now."
"Ohhh.. Should I be?"
""Not really. I thought why to trouble dropping me. You can directly go home and relax"
"Yes Ma'm. I can drop Malvi"
"I never knew that our college hostel and my house are miles apart"
Everyone laughs understanding what the little birdies are trying. Vinod rubs his hair in embarrassment while Malvi is all blushing in red.
"Be careful. Don't stay out for long. After reaching the hostel message me" Satya's orders have loads of care and affection for Malvi and she knows that.
Malvi hugs Satya and the love birds bid bye to the party of teasers.š¤
Vinod and Malvi holding hands run towards his bike. Malavika hugs from the back and they go on a joyful ride. The cool evening weather of Bangalore soothes their heart and mind, and the young kids are too occupied in each other's company that the world outside becomes irrelevant.ā¤ļø
Prasanna is no mood to call it a day. As much as he wants to stretch the day in Satya's presence, he dreads his best friend Rana's presence around her. Rana is in his own world, flattering Satya in his charm, much to the annoyance of his Bro. Sometimes unknowingly and many times purposely. Satya is enjoying Rana's company more so for the fact that he talks a lot about the funny moments between the buddies. She gets to know a complete different side of Prasanna from his sweet past. And she's totally enjoying those stories.š
"Ok let's go now" Prasanna finally takes the hard call
Satya is not happy about it and it shows on her face. Prasanna doesn't fail to notice it. He feels both anxious and excited about her instant reaction.
"Ok.. I'm tired too.. Let's go hit the bed" Rana gets up too
Satya is left with no choice than to go along with the boys'decision. She bids bye to them not before a prolonged admiration and praises for her bike from Rana.
Satya settles down on the makeshift bed, with a book, after a refreshing bath. She didn't feel like removing the bed tgat she made for Prasanna. She started liking that setup and it became a habit of her to sit on that while reading. She finds it cozy and the feeling is both comfortable and memorable. She's again playing the scene of his presence in her house and is blushing in silence.š³
She hears the calling bell ringing and wonders who. She's not scared but she immediately gets worried about not receiving any message from Malvi yet. With a confused state of mind she opens the door. She finds none and with a little peep outside she could see Prasanna hesitantly walking away mentally scolding himself.š
"Prasannaaa" She calls and he stops
He turns around and it's evident that he's still mad at himself for whatever reason it is. He scratches his forehead with his long fingers, thinking of some excuse. And he's irritated that he couldn't find any. Satya could only smile at his state.š
"I was just thinking about you" She can never be anymore honest. And that helps him feel more comfortable getting rid of his embarrassment. He proudly looks at her way of making him feel at ease.š
"I bet it's not as much as my thoughts.. that's filled with you"
Her smile widens and makes her all the more adorable. Her face looks so soft and all her hidden emotions exposed in that very moment. He closes the gap between them and gently traces his index finger on her cheek
"I missed being with you. And it dragged me here"
She softly puts her palm on his face
"I'm glad that you are here"š³
"Won't you let me in?"
"Allow yourself in" She challenges him
He raises his brows like accepting the challenge and lifts her in his arms. As he walks inside closing the door with his legs, she rests her head on his broad chest, garlanding her arms around his neck. He notices the bed in the living room with her book left open. He gives a thoughtful smile at the scene and lays her down gently on that. She sits up and he settles down next to her.
She fixes her knee length dress she is wearing and sits comfortably. While doing that she moves very close to him, their body touching each other. Immediately both become conscious of their intimacy and an awkward silence prevails.
"What are you reading?" He breaks the awkwardness
That gives them a topic to start with and share casually about the book and its author. As the time pass by they get comfortable with each other's proximity. He could see her eyes feeling sleepy but she continues to talk something or the other. And her hands are waving around as she explains her stories on whatever she's talking about. He takes hold of her moving hand and locks his fingers with hers. He puts his other hand on it and pats on hers. He draws some lines on her wrist feeling her smooth skin. š³
She rests on his shoulder.
"I like it here" She refers to his broad shoulders where she comfortably rests.
"I've never felt better" He hugs her around her waist and pulls her closer to him. She's finding it hard to control anymore. She snuggles her face into the crook of his neck. She's still sleepy closing her eyes but aware of her body reactions to the warmth of his body. And she's also enjoying his responses to her actions. He finds it ticklish but enjoying the rush of feeling inside him. He tightens his grip around her waist and completely encircles her into his arms. Even if there is any space left between them it's completely filled now.š³
He rests his head on hers and slowly closes his eyes and both doze off. She's literally sleeping on him in their sitting position. He opens his eyes on sensing her movements on him. He could see that she's trying to make herself comfortable in the position. He smiles at her sleeping like a cute baby. He kisses on her head hugging her more closer to him possessively. He then lays her down slowly resting her head on the pillow. She's still holding his shirt. He smiles and lies down next to her, hugging her. She curls herself into his chest and his protective arms are caging her carefully towards him. He kisses her again on her forehead uttering "I love you" and goes into a peaceful sleep immediately. In the middle of the night, she opens her eyes, sees him holding her and sleeping, her lips with a slight smile, says "I love you" and goes back to sleep immediately. It's a beautiful scene to see them both carefully caring for each other in love and affection.š³
