Hellooo... d epi was a filler one yet bttr since i guess aftr a long time we got a war scene away frm family nautanki dt we had to bear fr d past 2 wks or so😆so leap is finally here... and i dint like radhabai rather d actress playing radhabai...😕i found her xpression less totally blank...😕nywys since its her 1st epi i wont directly jump on d conclusion...

d epi begins wid war scene...against mughals... where d mughals attack baji's sena...and d arrow hits balaji making him injured on d arena...😲baji cums running along wid his army and takes his father carrying him and meanwhile his men protect him as a shield against d mughal attacks...😃

zeenat aftr a long time is shown😃she is happy to see balaji and his men and goes and assures yesubai and her DIL dt shahuji had sent balaji and his men to rescue dm...😃

we have a dramatic scene which m sure happens in almst all d histrcl shows dis really reminded me of JA😆where strong winds blow and everything seems flying sply d diya going off rather kashi sees d mashaal and tries to protect it wid her pallu wen her MIL cums and adds oil to d lamp and dts hw it remains stable...😃

she tells kashi not to worry... 😃kashi asks her whether she ever waited fr her hubby... to whch radha tells dt she had stopped waiting fr her hubby... and took care of her family...😃in short we have radhabai consoling trying to calm kashi...😃

baji takes his father to d camp and removes d arrow...😃baji promises his father dt by sunset he would get yesubai bk...😃

yesubai and zeenat...consoles d worried savitribai dt she knew shahuji v well and dis time surely dey would b rescued...😳

at d court panth tries to provoke shahuji against balaji and baji dt dey had attacked mughals dt mite hamper d relationship btw dm etc...🤓but shahuji shuts der mouth saying dt he had all d trust on balaji and he would handle it in his own way...😃btw d actor i couldnt guess who he was later realised he was sameer dharmadhikari...😛i guess he was in jhansi ki rani too...😛

nywys...baji asks his men whther dey cooperated wid him to whch dey all agree in chorus and so baji tells dm to go bk...😕dey cum bk and balaji realises dt baji had d plan of entering d fort to bring yesubai and her DIL...😃

d mughals keep attcking on baji btw has QM chnged????😕cz couldnt guess who dt sardar was who was ordering d soldiers to attck baji😕nywys... baji passes unhurt all d time wen d attck is stopped and d sardar realises dt baji wantd to talk... but he is in denial mode of having ny convo wid baji and so d fort gate is opnd and d mughal men arrive to attck him...😲but baji is ready wid his weapon to counter attack dm...😉

Precap : kashi waiting fr baji...😳and baji's frnd???😕asks him whther he missed kashi???😕

Sameer Dharmadhikri... Shahuji in PB...King Gangadhar rao (Laxmibai's husband) in Jhansi ki rani...Bindusar in Ashok...ok so far better choice for Shahuji's role...👍🏼

next big name is Amit Behl playing Panth...now who is this character??? 😕

Rajeshwari Sachdev ...new Radhabai...considered as one of the ace and classic actress like Pallavi Joshi...though I never saw any of her classic roles...and when her name was declared for Radhabai, I was sure she won't match Anuja...anyway, let's see in future episodes...coz soon Balaji will die and radhabai will turn extremely orthodox...may be Rajeshwari will be fit for that role...😛

was it Gotya who is teasing Baji??😕

anyway...this leap is of 8 years...so by then QM has taken over Malwa and Hydrabad and declared himself as Nizam...

so Mastani entry tomorrow...big blunder... Mastani met Baji 8 yrs after he became Peshwa...and here Balaji is still alive...Baji's 4 sons from Kashibai r yet to born...and Baji is going to fall in love with Mastani so soon???😲

and Kashibai...why wearing her sari like non-brahmin lady?? brahmin style was and still is very different...this costume dept is seriously nutcase...😡

coz not just Kashi but even Shahuji's costumes r not proper...he never wore that crown...his Pagdi/crown was different, as he was called as king of common ppl... and he always took pride in that...he was one who never used the wealth for himself...

so one question, I used to ask in JA too...have CVs really studied the real history?? or they r just following the movie??

New Shahu ji.. didn't like the way he was sitting in intro scene.. though the actor is good...

Baji Balaji... liked the war, politics... away from melodrama..

Mastani entry tomorrow 😲...

And di, I had missed some epis, please tell what happened to Tarabai and Raje... they stopped showing her after the protest but no mention too😲

Anyways i felt episode was little fast, things happened like super fast train,

RB performance felt dull,

lets see coming episode she have stamina to fill which blankness audience feeling, going Anuja Sathe.

is Baji will bring back, yasubai or forgetting name sahu jee wife?

Kashi bai feels love for Baji but seeing precap Baji ans about Love is like Blank.

With a new cast of characters and a new story, it seems like the director has changed. The costume team and editing team, though...What happened there? Remember how carefully and simply all of the details of the sets and costumes were shown right from the first frame of the original Peshwa Bajirao until its last episode yesterday? The research was done, it was shown, and for the most part, the series of events wasn't depicted in an over-the-top manner.

This new Peshwa Bajirao already feels different to me. I was remembering how the first episode of the classic PB started - there was power, there was depth, but there was subtlety along with strength. The first episode of this naya adhyay PB made me wonder...What happened to the tone of the show?

I suppose they were going for a dramatic reintroduction of the characters. If that was the intention, then with the exception of Balaji with his characteristically powerful "Har Har Mahadev!" and Shahuji Maharaj with his oddly relaxed yet commanding stance on the throne, I found many of the other reintroductions to be too dramatic. Kashibai's bleeding foot and her trying to shield the mashaal with her sari - she would have set herself on fire! Who does that?! Peshwinbai's tel for the flame - neat how this was a throwback to Radhabai's words about keeping a flame burning, but the impact of the scene just fell completely flat in comparison to the one from the previous episode, even though the point was to show how drastically the character has changed. Sigh. I did like the way Bajirao's reintroduction was shot. The extended running was a bit much for me, but Baji's Theme was played and Balaji didn't die from that arrow - yet - so that's okay!

Seeing those familiar rooms of the Peshwa's house and the Maharaj's palace in a new light made me nostalgic already. At least Shahuji's darbar hasn't changed! Speaking of which...I am so glad to see Sameer Dharmadhikari as Shahuji! I loved him as Gangadhar Rao in Jhansi Ki Rani and he has quite the history of being a ruler - pun intended! I swear, the man was born to be a king! Hope he gets the proper scope to expand on what Nitin Prabhat did, because Nitin was exceptional! Manishji, as always, was a sight for sore eyes. I have loved watching him portray Balaji Bhat's many layers so effortlessly. The quintessential wise man who started out as a commoner and became a warrior...If these are to be his last moments as Balaji, I will cherish them, but with a heavy heart. Hopefully there will be a few Balaji/Shahuji and Balaji/Chimnaji scenes before Balaji dies. I'm so excited to see Manishji, Sameer, and Saurabh! I'm holding on for these three show stealers!

First of all I didn't like the new Radhabai, and as u said Harshu, I totally agree with you that she was very expressionless, and the calm, lovely, motherly Radhabai has taken exit with Anuja, and Radhabai suddenly calling Kashi by "Aap" after leap, I could hardly connect with the characters after leap. Everyone including Balaji, Kashi calling suddenly Baji by Rao after leap. And Balaji got injured so easily, its not the same Balaji anymore who was mainly responsible in getting back the throne for Shahuji. And now coming to Shahuji (the Bindusara in CAS), the actor is really good in doing these kind of roles yet I think a much younger actor must be considered for the role, Shahuji was much younger than Balaji, CVs must remember that.
And as far as my memory is concerned, I think the yudh was to fight Tararani and Shivaraje, but suddenly after leap they had forgotten everything and made it for Yesubai and his DIL's release. I liked Yesubai's dialogues that today if they win or lose, the birds will be freed from the cage. I also felt the adult Baji's expressions were not as expected it to be. And the CVs have totally forgotten that they had introduced Dhanaji back before leap, but its been totally ignored thereafter. I thought yesterday Balaji was worried about that only and want to tell that to her, but after reading the forum posts, I am totally shocked that he too had a wife other than Radhabai !!! What are they showing I can't understand nowadays. And Mastani's entry so soon and she is dancing as it was in movie!!! Pathetic episodes coming soon, I can totally foresee it. Mashaal part is so daily soapish kind of acts, hated it so much, without closing the windows and providing oil, Kashi busy in protecting the mashal with her saree.

Thanks for the update Harshu 😊 Haven't seen the episode yet, but good to know political events were given due focus.

From the comments, looks like there were a lot of loose ends.. Just hoping that the leap doesn't destroy the essence of the show.

I had seen some of the pictures of the grown up Kashibai in twitter, and her look doesn't seem to be anywhere near the authentic Marathi look of women of royal family from 18th century 😕 Are these the same costume designers who were so careful about every minute details? Anyways, will wait for some time before reaching to conclusion.

The new Radhabai doesn't seem impressive. Unfortunately last time I have seen the actress on TV was in a total psycho role, so it is going to be more difficult for me to imagine her as Radhabai 😔

Thanks for wu Harshu. I couldn't watch on Friday and after reading your post and other comments on the thread didn't feel like watching. So yet to watch online.

Reading about Mastani entry so soon is really annoying and I guess this shows PH and cvs intentions. I am afraid we will get very less political stuff and more kitchen politics and Bajirao Mastani with Kashi & Radhabai.

I just don't feel interested in Mastani or Kashi.

So guess will watch next week and then decide if I want to watch further. Will watch if this remains Peshwa Bajirao only.
