@Maddyo- agreed.
This is going to be such a cheese fest if this becomes only about Bajirao's love-relationships with Kashi/Mastani while the politics and drama of other matters are put to one side. I'm not interested in those aspects either, particularly as its an Indian tv show and romance/love portrayals can be such a drag and so candyflossy.
They need to learn how to reflect reality in onscreen relationships, more maturity and less fluffy/dreamy teenage like depictions. I'm so over that.

Is it just me or anyone else feels that the prominent characters in the show have lost their authentic Marathi appeal post leap? As a result, everything looks artificial. The scene between Radhabai and Kashibai looked dramatic instead of realistic.. And man, what they have done to Radhabai? 😲

The battle field scenes were relatable only because of Manishji. The sequence where Bajirao was heading towards the fort on his horse was overdone.. Difficult to comment on Bajirao just based on the war scenes, so keeping comments reserved for now. One more thing that I didn't understand was why they were calling him Rao instead of Baji 😕

Agree with you about losing the Marathi touch. Anuja and Rajeshwari both are Marathi so it has to be natural with them. New Kashi doesn't appear Marathi, the hair the pallu all wrong, jewelry too! I absolutely HATE it when women in serials don't drape pallu properly. Not covering chest properly when taking pallu is disgusting.

Rajeshwari as Radhabai is bit of an enigma, clearly her character has lost the bond with Balaji. However inspite of the hug to Kashi she is coming across as emotionless and her voice sounded too dry almost gutteral.

I am reserving comments on Bajirao till I watch more, as this was my first episode post leap.

I enjoyed the episode as it was mostly war and political. Bajirao Yesubai Savitribai and Zeenat un nissa scene was wonderful.

As long as they keep PB political and historical I am interested.

I frankly don't care about Kashi and Mastani characters.
Kashi Radhabai scene was too filmy and over the top. That bleeding foot drama too.

I hope they don't lose the Marathi touch.

@bold, even I have that complaint !! What was the need for that not so properly draped pallu 😕 They were so particular about the costumes in the pre leap era.. Then why this now?

I enjoyed the politics related scenes too.. Shahuji's character seems to be molded in the right way, he still has the powers and believes in Baji and Balaji, but he looks like a typical king now. Sameer looks little old for the character, but he has got the nerve of the character right. Hope they show what happened to Tarabai and Shivaraje and don't leave it open ended..

Kashi doesn't have the Marathi look, the actor has to try hard.

See the contrast with Yesubai and Savitribai today. Perfect in their demeanour, both had heads covered by pallu which is how women of those times would be in public. Even at home daughter in law would have pallu around her shoulder covering both arms in front of mother in law.

Their jewelry is wrong. Anuja as Radhabai was dressed perfectly.

Yes Sameer looks old but he has the presence of a king. His and Savitribai relationship would be interesting. Frankly I am more interested in them than Mastani.

This Baji has to FALL in love is getting irritating.
