As an actor you need make yourself visible on screen as much as possible... I'm not saying that Mishal needs to take up any role happening to come his way but long gaps between his projects is not a very wise strategy...and especially now ...he's not going to have age on his side for long!
Well maybe Mishal is not really considering acting to be his priority...maybe he's more inclined towards the business side of it...
Almost all the other actors of IKRS are working in new shows...it's Mishal who's busy dabbling in multiple other things 😆😆

I think his interest is only in Bollywood, Mag. He's taken long gaps from television for a reason. 🤔 I think he's always hoped to bag a film after each character he's depicted on television. Even his aspirations for Bollywood, I don't think he's interested in doing supporting roles either. His strategy isn't working for him because I seriously doubt it's getting him noticed at all. I guess he's just not willing to settle for anything less than his objective in all these years. You're right, he has another year to two years left until he's considered a mature character on television. He's not even close to Ekta, so the probability of seeing him in one of her mature love stories is relatively slim.
