He just reflects a father in real situations - someone who may be bad himself but wants his kids to be good citizens and instills good values in them. Nandini and her 9 brothers were all not bad humans and Padmanand deserves praise for that (and avantika too)

He hid his bad deeds from Nandini not because he wanted to remain good in her eyes but somehow he wanted her to not know dark side of politics and kingship

And no matter what a father is a father. Especially nandini being so close to dad can she overcome her dad death grief. May be if her mom avantika and sis in law are with her in this time she can overcome this tragedy. But no one with her and moora, chandra and dadi cannot understand her love for padma as they hate him no matter how much they love nandini. Only an avantika or her sis in law can understand nandini pain as they know how much nandu adored padmanand till adulthood. And anyways all daughters their dad is their hero no matter what they are to outside world and padmanand truly adored nandini. So it makes it much more difficult for nandini to overcome daddy death grief. No matter she behave shes ok outside world to chandra to moora and dadi buttt inside shes broken and this heartbreak shall not heal soon

No man can be a good human and be a great king

- look at chandra himself is he not ruthless to opponents and enemy and plays games with them? Of course look at how he killed Nandinis brothers so brutally. Padmanand deserved his death so lets skip how he shall be killed.

- Look at chandra marrying both dhurudhara(for her dad money and saving her from marrying old man) and marrying helena for her dads army(and helenas revenge). If chandra did not have to revenge padmanand would he marry these two? (for money or army?) may be not. Was it not a compromise marriages for both

- Look at how he killed parvatak

So chandra himself can get cruel and shrewd when necessary.

Only thing is CGM is a good king to citizens and do not trouble them.

I often wonder how can enemies kids fall in love?

How can nandini forget her brothers deaths and her fathers killing and love chandra?

How can Chandra forget his dad head cut off by Nnadini father?

Atleast he had not seen all that but nandini big and mature saw her brothers and fathers death. How can she love chandra after these killings and brutal ones?

May be life makes those compromises possible or love makes one forget all past pains. Like they say love is blind.

I just think will chandra nandini have their own baby how will baby be because baby is usually gone on grandparents. What if CN baby is like padmanand?

Nandni though hurt understands that it's part of ruling a kingdom, and her being aware about her dad's misdeeds justifies his sentence and fate, even if as a father he was good. I only have a slightly different take on the inherent qualities of Chandini child. Hope you don't mind me sharing my view.

Rose blooms amidst a bunch of thorns. Just the way Nandini was born amidst a cruel Nand and his sons.

I think it's the way you bring up and mould a child that paves his future. Nand is not alive when Chandini baby will be born. Moora never had the chance to bring up her own children. We see how difficult it is for her to manage Bindusar.

So, I dont think the Chandini child will go on his grandparents. In which case, the child should adopt the good qualoties of Suryabhan and Avantika as well.

I think it will be left to the hands of Nandini to manage the kids. Kids growing under the love and protection of a just long and loving mother can't turn out to be that bad ya.
