Rikara's sagai was done. The marriage was after 1 month. All the rasams were planned to be conducted in the palace and the marriage in Mumbai. As this marriage was to be a centre of attraction of public, all the arrangements were made to be perfect. Anika was in charge of arrangements of both sides. As she was part of both families, she had kept assistances too to manage the work.
Both gouri and Om were busy this time. Gouri had started taking classes from a tutor whereas Om was busy with business and his artworks.
In all these months, shivika and Om used to visit the palace in every weekend.Even though Rikara had not opened up their feelings, they used to communicate each other through their passion - Art. Everytime Om came , he used to take classes for gouri and they used to talk a lot about art. He even taught her some lessons of sculpting .
But day by day, both were becoming closer to each other even though they only used to see rarely. Slowly, they were coming out of their shells; but still something kept them away from opening up their feelings. They were afraid as to what the other person would think.
Anika reached Jodhpur palace ,1 week b4 the wedding. She wanted to do all arrangements for of her chutki by her own hand.She was so excited for the marriage.Even though shivay couldn't bear her sending away for 1 week, she insisted on going.
Now, the whole oberoi family reached the palace for the rasams. Everyone were astonished by the decorations and celebrations of the Royal family.
Rikara were also very excited, but they didn't show it.Already both were being teased by all family members, specially by Rudy.
Gouri was in her room. She was there to welcome everyone, but did not get the chance to talk to Om.She was about to take some of her art stuff from the top of her big wardrobe. It was unreachable for her. As she was about to climb a stool, she saw Om coming
Her heart beats were raising; she wondered y.
O: hmm.hai gauri.Didnt see u downstairs.
Gauri was a bit naughty.
G : I'm upstairs na, then how will u see me downstairs??
Om was astonished.Gauri already climbed the stool.
O:hey just move. I will help you.
G: ( attitude)oh, I don't need anyone's help. I know to do it by my own.
O: ok fine.Anyway I'll be there here to catch u if u fall down.
Gouri was tensed.
G: no it's not needed. I will manage.
But as she was about to take it, she almost slipped from the stool and she fell down hitting her back.Om was laughing seeing this.
G: ouch, what type of a man r u? Couldn't u have helped me?
O: ( laughing) come on gouri, u told u don't need any help Na?
Gouri was irritated.After some time Om gave her a hand, but she refused. But Om took her in his arms.
Gouri was shocked.He kept her in the bed and tended her leg. But she was having back pain.She couldn't apply the balm alone. Both were confusedly looking each other. This is when shivika entered.
Sh: ( coughed) anika I think instead of pre wedding rasams, v r having pre wedding romance.
Rikara were embarrassed.
O:wo..shivay, actually she fell down and I was helping her.
A: oh..so filmy romance haan??
G: nahi didi, darsal he didn't catch me when I fell.He was laughing.
Sh: that was so mean Om.
O:oh come on guys, just stop this. Now anika please help her to put some balm on her back; she has back pain.
A: y Om, u could have did na? after all u r already pati patni.
Gouri was rolling her eyes at her didi.
She was continuously watching Om who went out of the room and smiled.
It was the haldi day.Haldi for Om and gouri were done in different floors of the palace. Gouri had specially made some kheer for Om, she knew Om didn't like sweets but this was their custom.
She saw that all were busy with work. So she herself decided to give this to Om.As she approached Om's room she saw a very funny view.
Om was struggling to wear his kurta
He had inserted it but it was stuck by halfway; his face was inside the kurta.
O: hey rudra, just help me out yaar. Actually I slipped and fell down here and my right hand is sprained , I'm not able to wear this.
Gouri thought of helping him as she saw rudra downstairs.She didn't speak & Om didn't see her as his face was inside the kurta.
O: come on first help to take this outside. I wore this in the wrong way.
Gouri was tensed, Some how she removed the kurta. Om was relieved after coming out of it; but was utterly shocked seeing gouri.Ge didn't say anything.He was actually happy.
Gouri turned to go, but Om grabbed her by her wrist.
O: ( softly) help me to wear this gouri...
Gouri was tensed, she had never did this even during chulbul days; but she made him sit on the bed and slowly helped him to wear the kurta.Om was simply looking gouri; he felt very happy at this moment. He thought how happy I will b if she is there with me in my whole life.
Gouri gave him the kheer & told him.
" I know u don't like sweets but it is our custom. The bride should give bridegroom on the day of the first rasams so that all the rasams would become sweet for both. "
Om took the bowl from her and ate 3 spoons . Gouri hadn't expected this ; she was happy. She wished that Om's future life would b as sweet as the kheer.
" Omkaraji, I will send u some medicine to apply on ur hand.Please get ready fast." She went down saying this.R Rudy was watching all these
Rudra entered Om's room and began teasing her.
R: 8th wonder if the world. Mr.artist ate kheer for the first time.
O: it's their custom Rudy...
R: but still u ate thus kheer na? That is chulbul bhabhi's magic. Ha, O u r going to become a paraya mard hai na?
O: duffer, shut up!!!
R: do u know something like, without this Duffer's help u would have never eat this kheer ok?
O: I'm gonna kill u rudra...
& there goes the fight...
It was haldi time. Both the bride and groom had haldi on different places as men were not allowed to see women's haldi.
In between the rasam, somehow Om managed to move out and went in search of a tap in the garden. He just wanted to wash out the whole thing. Gouri who was walking to her room, saw Om in the garden from the top floor. She immediately went to the garden.
G: omkaraji, tumhe kuch chahiye?
O: wo...I need to wash this off
G: par rasam is not yet finished.
O: ya that is y I came out, other wise I've gone to the room.
Gouri led him to the tap in the garden.But it was difficult for Om to keep the hose and clean at the same time since his right hand was sprained.So gouri opened the tap and water came out from the hose.
But something was going on in her mind. She suddenly increased the speed and ejected the water to Om.She was continuously spraying water on him and laughing. Om was shouting to stop this, but she didn't.
Suddenly he grabbed her by her waist . The hose now fell down from gouri and the oozing water was wetting her now.
An awkward silence was followed. Gouri never thought that a playful moment would turn into something like this. Both were wet and they were aware about that. They were so close to each other.Both were scanning each other's wet form . Suddenly gouri came to her senses and pushed him but Om stopped her.
" Can u help me in cleaning this?" his voice was so soft. She felt a heat in her cheeks.
Om was surprised, he thought" Oh God y am I behaving like this? What is happening to me when she is coming close?"
Gouri thought for a moment. He can't do this alone as his hand is sprained.So she took the hose and slowly sprayed water. She began cleaning his face.
As her hands began touching his forehead , his nose, then his stubble Om was just melting.H er little fingers were actually tracing all his features.This was new to both.
He never thought he would have this sort of feeling when she does this. Slowly her hand moved to his neck, she could feel his throbbing pulse.
His kurta was a bit open. Gauri nearly shivered when her hand moved down past his neck, even him.
Both were lost in some other world. Om suddenly caught both her hands. She gasped.She was breathing heavily. She didn't want to show her blushing face so she lowered her face.
But Om slowly raised her face up.He wanted to see her blushing face.
" Gouri, thanks for the sweet. U r the first one to feed me a sweet in all these years. The kheer was so tasty."
Gouri felt bliss.She was so happy to hear this.She was simply staring him to see those lovely eyes.
But soon someone called gouri ; she just pushed him away and went into the palace, smiling. Even Om was smiling seeing her antics.
