Why actresses doesn't make their debut at tennage age nowadays?

Before I saw actresses made their debut at teenage age around 16-17, actresses like Sridevi, Madhuri, Kajol, Karishma, Raveena and many more actresses made their debut at teenage age back in the 80's and 90's, even in the early 2000's, many actresses made their debut at teenage age like PC, Kat and few other actresses but nowadays when actresses make their debut, they are mostly 20+, Alia and Anushka r the only actress that I see had made their debut on this generation were below 20 when they made their debut, other than that, most of them r lot older when they made their debut, actresses Parineeti, Krithi, Disha, Urvashi and many more actresses were all 20+ when they made their debut, is it because nowadays girls wants to finish their education before they enter BW?

hmm... interesting. I wonder why as well.

Who would be paired opposite them when some people are shocked regarding a 15/20 year gap between the actor and the actress paired opposite him.

They finish their studies and then join BW

Because all of the actors are like 60 years old so thats why they changed the debut age from 16 to 24 lol

Maybe education is valued more
They might feel they have their whole life to make a career

I would hope the reason is further studies. It's so important to complete your education before jumping into a career path. I hope these Bollywood parents are emphasizing this importance to their kids.

I don't think the Khans being around has anything much to do with it. It was a more sad reason IMO. On the contrary, most of the stories I have heard like J.Jayalilitha, Sridevi, Kajol, Karishma were because of economic necessity and some had pushy mothers. Many of them were film families, but these then young girls had to face things like casting couches.
