Because when the serial was in a last episode Omi's Girlfriend or wife or watever(Can't remember her name) But after a 1 year time Omi's Wife said that they have adopted that chid who used to be one of Omi's Patient's Son who died due to the Aids and after few months time Atul's Mother died to that's why they adopted Him. And now Omi is nomore to beacuse he had aids 2.
