MOMENT NIKAL GAYA HAI - but still...
After so many years, (4 or 5) i am back on India Forums and the reason for my return is this character: OMKARA SINGH OBEROI.
On one fine day (end of February) i was watching a video on youtube and there was this recommendation: Ishqbaaaz.
I randomly clicked on that link and was instantly impressed by the cinematography (it was Anika's memory-loss track : mehndi ceremony of ShiTia).
I was like: "this seems interesting, i must watch this from the moment the girl lost her memory".
And from there i started watching: from memory-loss episode to ShiTia (3rd time failed) wedding. And in that episode, i saw OMKARA...
"oh wait! Is he the same guy, who is on another show's montage on hotstar; lemme google. Yeah! He is that... oh this show is IB's spin-off. Wow! I should watch this one then."
[After 3 episodes] "urghh! Not getting it completely, maybe i should watch parent show from the first episode and then come back to this."
And yes! with this i started binge-watching IB (and with every passing episode, every scene; each word of poetry and the work of art by our artist; by his views, intelligence, wit and charm; i became another fan of Omkara).
After watching all the available episodes, i started watching DBO. And the rest is history.
I am a silent stalker of this Forum since last two months but today i finally decided to log-in again after so many years for the character OMKARA and the fandom - who together created HISTORY (okay! PH and SP too but for me the actor, character & the fandom).
But being a curious soul i really want to know that how did the journey progress? What were the leaps? The history-making moments?
Many questions were answered by stalking IB&DBO Forum, Tumblr, Instagram & Twitter but many are still unanswered.
So i created this post, with few of my question (will keep on adding more, depending on my curosity) and i request one and all to answer my question(s) related to Omkara & Kunal, any of them, if you can.
I know MOMENT NIKAL GAYA HAI but we can recreate it by going down the memory lane.
My questions:
1. When the initial promos of IB were out, how well the character of Omkara was received?
2. Which was the first scene to gather maximum praise & appreciation for Kunal as actor & Omkara as character?
3. What were the reactions when Ridhima was introduced as GF of Omkara?
4. Two very famous ShivKara's interactions: Episode 6 & Episode 19. What were the reactions of fandom after watching those episodes?
5. What were the reactions of fandom on Omkara's Drug track?
6. How many of you agreed with the PH that IshKara wasn't clicking? [I dont know what were the reactions at that time but today when i see Rikara on screen, i feel happy that this decision was taken. Btw Vrushika is super-talented & i loved her in few scenes]
7. How was the journey from Ishana/Ridhima exit to less screenspace to the announcement of DBO?
8. Who was the first source to confirm that DBO is in plans?
9. What were the reactions of fans on knowing about India's first spin-off Dil Boley Oberoi?
10. How excited was everyone about Omkara's new look and re-introduction in first episode of DBO and what were the reactions after 1st episode?
