Chapter 22

Gauri was talking to Shivaay, anika and Soumya in Shivaay's room. She came late and Omkaara wasn't in their room. She found a shirt on her cot. He has kept his shirt for her. Gauri smiled thinking about her ziddy Jatadhaari pati. She changed into his shirt. It was flowing out of her shoulders. She was almost invisible in that. She laughed looking at herself in mirror. She was preparing her bed to sleep when he entered. Omkaara felt a strange attraction seeing her in his shirt. "She is driving me mad at whatever she does He was thinking.

She turned and saw him coming "aap aagaye.. dekha aap ki shirt? She smiled and was showing how loose it was hanging on her.

"Dekh to raha hoon His voice was again in a different tone.

Gauri felt the difference in his looks and she shied away in the pretext of setting the bed. They both lied down and Gauri got a message in her phone. It was from Rishabh. It was a general message forward to some of the employees, that the next day after factory hours there was a small get together planned. It was an informal invite since they got to know about it in the last minute. Then she might get late. She was not aware of Omkaara looking at her for a long time. She turned to tell him only then she noticed that he was looking at her. She hesitated for a minute.

"Wo.. omkaaraji.. Rishabh sir ki message tha

Omkaara's face turned different. There is no break from this guy, damn.

"Kal ek party hain kaam khatam hone ke baad. Message bheja hai Rishabh sir ne. Der hui naa.. issliye call karke invite nahi kar paaye.. Kal na main todi late aaongi..

"Aisa kounsi khaas party hai tumhe itna personal invite diya usne?

"Pata nahi.. Par Rishabh sir ne message bheja ki mera wahan rehna zaroori hain

Omkaara was losing his patience.

"Itna bhi kya zaroori hain, aise kaunsi party jiske baare mein tum jaante tak nahi ho par tumhaari wahan rehna zaroori hai? He was sounding sarcastic

"Zaroor koi wajah hogi. Rishabh sir aise todi bulayenge

"Bas karogi.. main yahan iss waqt tumhaari mooh se uski baare mein sunne ke liye nahi baite raha hoon He was surely irritated.

"Aap hi ne poocha tha. Issliye main keh rahi thi. Chodiye. Kal main todi der se aaongi. Abhi bata rahi hoon. Phir aap phone pe phone karenge..

"Teek hai. So jao Omkaara snapped.

It was clearly not very pleasing to hear his name at this time from her mouth. He was trying to remember all that happened in the evening and tried to forget this thing. But it was not seemingly possible as special party thing was bothering him. Why did he invite her without even telling the details to her? If he asks her, she might mistake that he is doubting her. But Omkaara wanted to know it badly.

The next day..

Gauri took her first day lessons from the tutor and hurried up for her work. She left a thankyou note for him after attending her first day classes. He missed to see that since the Rishabh thing was bothering him. Whole day he was restless and as the time grew his restlessness increased. He recalled the chauffeur and decided to pick her up, himself. He wanted to see her, now. He postponed a meeting to a late night slot and hurried to pick Gauri up. If she is resisting saying that she needs to attend this and all, he made up his mind to convince her somehow.

When he reached there, the entire factory was shut down except for a litup corner. That's where the party must be going on, he thought. He moved towards the direction of the lit up place only to notice the unexpected. Rishabh was holding Gauri's hand and pulling her while she was smiling and telling something to him. Omkaara was shocked. What the hell is this guy doing? How dare he touches her hand.. Omkaara singh oberoi wife's hand. He felt a mad rage and was ready to blast him any moment. But Gauri's smiling face and the way she went with him, confused him. Why is she going with him all smiley when this guy pulled her hand. What the hell is wrong with her..? He remembered the day before when they were in each other's arms. No Gauri can't surely have feelings for anyother person other than him. He surely must be taking advantage of her gratitude towards his family and is doing these. He went near to the small stage where Rishabh's family were standing. Gauri was talking to his father and he gave some present to her. She fell on his feet and he blessed her. Omkaara couldn't tolerate more. He needs to take her away asap. He went near the stage just then she noticed him. She was shocked and surprised. How in the world did he land here.?

She informed Rishabh's father that she needs to leave and gestured 2 min to him. She greeted few people on the stage and left with him. Omkaara was silent all the way even though she was inquiring him as much. He wasn't sure how he would react to her questions since he was in wild rage. Whatever it is, he wanted to reach home before even opening his mouth. She on the other hand, was not aware why he came, how he came? He certainly seems to be very upset and she was wondering what was the reason.? Is there some problem in the business? Or someone from family is not well? She was trying to ask him as much but he was keeping stone quiet.

After reaching home, gauri went to change while Omkaara was standing infuriated looking at the mirror. After she came back, he went inside.

"Omkaaraji, ab aap bataoge. Aap kyun aaye aur kaise aaye. Aap kaam chodkar mujhe lene aaye.. aap ne bataya bhi nahi mujhe?

"Kyun.. Mere aane se tumhe kya problem ho rahi hai?

"Mujhe problem kyun hoga. Apne kaam chodkar kyun aaye.. yehi main pooch rahi hoon.. main khud aa sakthi thi.. roz ki tharah

"I recalled the chauffeur today

"Kyun

"Main aanewala tha

"wohi pooch rahi hoon kyun.. aap ko mujhpe baroza nahi hai? she clearly came to the point.

Omkaara softened at this direct question, a bit. But his anger at seeing him holding her hands, was beyond control.

"Aisa nahi hain, Gauri. Tum pe nahi karoonga to aur kis pe karoonga..

"Phir aap aaye kyun the.. wo bhi bina bole

"Kyunki main tumhe jaldi wapas laana chahtha tha.. tum kehri thin aa. Party mein der hogi.. issliye agar main aaonga tum jaldi aaogi.. issliye main khud aana chahtha tha

"Jaldi aakar kya karna hai. Kuch kaam hai?

"Nahi..

"Phir?

"Mujhe pasand nahi hai.. tum uski saath zyaada der rukogi to

"Rishabh sir ki baat kar rahe naa aap?

"haan

"aap na.. kuch nahi ho saktha aap ka.. phir shak karne lage na mujhpe.. Her face reflected a disgusting feeling.

"Gauri.. please.. kasam se.. Maine aisa kuch nahi socha.. Please believe me. You know when I reached I saw him holding your hands aur wo tumhe keech kar jaa raha tha. Pata nahi tum bhi has haske chal rahi thi. Main toda upset hogaya hoon wo sab dekhe. Issliye.. Par kasam se mujhe tumpe poore barosa hai, Gauri. Mujhe sirf uspe shak hai, kahin wo tumhaari gratitude ko galat isthamal nahi kar raha?

Gauri's eyes widened.. What he has seen and what he has connected into.. She got furious. He could have asked her directly, instead of all this.

"aap ne sahi dekha. Rishabh sir humhe haat pakadke apne papa ki paas lekar jaa rahe the Her eyes were looking at him in controlled anger

"gauri Omkaara was shocked

"Pata hai kyun, kyunki aaj rishabh sir ki sagayi hai

"Sagayi.. tum aise kaise.. kya Rishabh ne tumhaari saath zabardasthi kiya? Omkaara's eyes turned red.

"Bas bhi kijiye aap. Rishabh sir ki sagayi Jeet sir ki friend ki ladki ki saath hui thi. Uski function tha aaj. Bas factory ki purani employees ko invite kiya, Jeet sir ne. Jo bhi aapne dekha, wo sach hai. Kyunki uss waqt Rishabh sir humhe stage pe bula rahe the, Jeet sir ne humhe apne beti samajhke humhaare liye shubh kaamna ki gift rakhe the. Usse dene ke liye, Rishabh sir bula rahe the. Main mana kar rahi thi. Wo humhe keechkar lekar jaa rahe the. Stage pe jeet sir ne mujhe gift diya, aur main Rishabh sir aur uski mangethar ko apni subh kaamna dekar aap ke paas chali aayi.. Gauri finished with a strong complaint in her face. She wasn't expecting this from him at this point. Earlier he used to be judgemental and jump into conclusions. But she thought he has changed. But whatever happened disappointed her very much. She turned back in disappointment.

Omkaara was standing in guilt-ridden shock. Again he committed the same mistake. He thought that he is forcing her and she is not resisting. He looked at her. Her very gesture said please go away. His phone rang at the untimely moment. He had to get into a quick meeting asap.

"Gauri.. mujhe ek zaroori meeting attend karna hai.. bas 10 minute mein aaonga.. please kuch galat mat samajhna.. I will come back and we will discuss He vanished out of the room

Gauri was standing at the utter disappointment. When she was getting closer to him by all means, he had to do this. He is possessive about her, she knows. But why is this blind rage? Afterall, how will she prefer anyone above him? She bared her heart mostly that she can't stay happy without him, only the day before. What else does he needs for assurance? Why is he this insecure, that he is not even believing her own words? Gauri's throat dried after allthis intense argument session. She wanted to drink something. She dialed the kitchen intercom and requested for a juice. The service help arrived with the juice within minutes. She sat on the bed thinking about allthat happened and took a sip. The juice was little bitter. May be they didn't add sugar. She couldn't even think more as to why it was bitter and all. She gulped it at one go.

Omkaara came inafter 10 minutes and found Gauri holding her head and sitting. He went near her and took her hands to make her stand up. She was little off balance. He tried to hold her. She was not in her balance. He was wondering why is she not in her balance. He heard a knock at the door. It was the help.

"Sir galti hogayi. Actually mam ne juice request kiya par tej sir ki drinks mam ki juice se exchange hogayi. Please humhe maaf kijiye sir
