Shivaay is very possessive about Annika-Why don't cvs capitalize on it

Shivaay was always possessive about Annika and we don't need Daksh to point that out. We saw his possessive streak during Daksh time. Not only that, Annika could rile him so easily with the mere mention of another man's name-Rohit.

When Daksh re-entered, he said to her Tum meri Annika ho'. He hated hearing her name on Daksh's lips, a fact that didn't go unnoticed by the other man. But somewhere down the line, now that he knows Annika does not have anyone, no family- nothing, I feel it gives him a sense of ownership. He says tum SIRF meri ho' as if the fact that she belongs to him and him alone is a notion that he clings possessively to.

When Sahil is kidnapped, he went weak in the knees. Because as Annika belongs to him alone- Sahil is like a part of her and so by extension, he belongs to him as well. The family hug- more like parents hugging a kid and the way he takes both of them in his arms- screaming possession-MINE

So coming to my main point.

In yesterdays episode, Shivaay says, tum kuch bhi kar sakti ho' to which Annika replies tum kuch bhi karwa sakte ho'. If Annika were to go away from him at this point, Shivaay would bend the elements of the universe to make her come back to him. He has the money and resources to manipulate her life to an extent that she has no choice but to come to him and Annika has the fortitude and will to defy him at every turn. That tashan would be interesting to watch coupled by his possessive attitude when it comes to Annika.

From a long time they have been showing Pinky's nonsense. It was still okay to her taking time in accepting Annika but showing her in a total villainous mode is so out of character that it feels like this is the combination of all the character inconsistencies till date (And we have seen so many inconsistent characters)

Pinky , as initially shown, bitchy- straightforward, tactless but good. She didn't like OmRu much but she never went to harm them either. She hated Jahnvi but when time came, she supported her. She insulted Annika but then when Annika took up for Shivaay she was the first person to hug her. She said things to Annika during forced marriage but when she saw the video, she was civil to her till Daksh intervened.

It was still okay when she thought Shivaay ignored her for Annika because Shivaay did ignore her. But her character went downhill from that point on. The son she brought up making him the man for whom family and family reputation is above all, she screwed their own family reputation by bringing Nayantara. Not that but Mehandi thing was lowest of the low. And just when we thought she couldn't stoop any lower, she is destroying Prinku's life so that she gets what she wants.

Such a character cannot be forgiven and it is sad that cvs will show shivaay forgiving everything in the bat of an eye lid. So I have no expectations on Pinky front but my question is when there are so many possibilities like possessive shivaay- Prinku's forced marriage to remind Shivaay of his own misdeeds- why not capitalize on that rather than butchering a character that was supposed to be annoying but positive?

I agree with some points. I do feel Pinky's character has needlessly been butchered. Pinky is supposed to be the physical manifestation of Shivaay's NKK and I feel they must have planned a pinky Annika showdown from the beginning.

What I don't get is why they had to turn her SO low and SO evil for that. She was never meant to be out and out vampish and negative. If they had to use Pinky, they could've used her as a pawn for the NKK track - the way Daksh used her - to amplify Shivaay's NKK problem in this track

About Annika leaving - I dunno, we might never get it but I do want to say that either a physical or emotional separation may be on the cards. I really hope this time Annika is the one who walks away. She needs to take a stand for herself if Shivaay really does say something awful

I think you have captured the gist properly and analysed pi ky downfall and barriers breaking perfectly..you should make a separate post regarding pinky downfall..even i am surprised that pinky character consistency (well almost every other but pinky the most) is not present..i was hoping that okay you hate your bahu..its okay..there were various other possessive MIL in tv history (right from savita bhabhi of kyunki saas to ishwari ko kuch rang) but they never tried to hurt their DIL physically.and especially they never try to destroy their own fanily members life just to comolete their plans..what pinky has done yesterday was kind of irredeemable..the mehendi one was bad..but the prinku one was like worst..she was annoying but positive..now she is fastly turning into an out and out negative character..remember when she used to stand up.for jhanvi against tez..what next..she will bail out svetlana to fulfill her plans!??

To answer your question, they just don't care atm because of ipk3 starting, hopefully once ipk3 gets on track, little bit of focus will come back to us as well.

What you said in the paragraph above was actually used in ipk season 1. Idk if you've seen it. Khushi leaves arnav thinking it's better for him and his sister's life if she left. Then arnav uses all his money, power, black mail n all to get her back. So yea i wouldn't be surprised if a similar thing happens here as well in the future.

Whatever it is...im not gonna watch ipk3..
Ipk was only watchable coz of sanaya's expressions and those funny scenes she did ...barun did almost nothing he had no expression he used to stand there with a grumpy face all the season..he was only good in the romance part as ArShi SaRun jad a good chemistry..now that sanaya is not there that means no expressions no chemistry ..
I hope it becomes a flop and gul learns her lesson

Balance is the key yaar..
Just because she has a new show, will she turn this show into -the life and times of Pinky Singh Oberoi?
The problem is not about showing villains because somewhere the stories of Indian tv soaps dont go on unless you have a strong antagonist but the problem is when they show the end- like Tia did all the evil things but she was forgiven- No questions asked.
Dont begin something if you cannot conclude it well. The ony message it gives is that, all the attempts to murder will be forgiven if you prove that someone is brain washing you. And all evil is forgiven because forgiveness is divine.

The Pinky track will end with her bring caught, her crying saying Mera Shivaay and she is not worth him and I wanted the best for him and then, Shivaay with tears in his eyes will be like, for my sake try to accept her because she is my wife now.. And that is it
