Rekha is not in the same league. It is like saying Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi and Gerrard were the best players of their generation. My vote are for Azmi, Patil and Bachchan, in that order.

I know that. They are much much better than Rekha but she was also around that time and considered one of the best of her generation that's why included her.

Yes, to some extent (but not everyone). But, Smita Patil is indeed one of the, if not the greatest. Pretty much in Top 3 of all time greats. Btw whom do you find best out of these 4?

Jaya Bachchan. I get put off by some of Rekha's and Shabana's works. But Jaya is always a delight to watch on screen, whether its an art movie or a commercial film. Don't you agree??
