For a Sachin fan, it is an emotional film because we experience the journey of Sachin Tendulkar once again on the big screen and take a look at all the ups and downs in his life. Sachin Takes Good Opening - Pirates Decent

Sachin - A Billion Dreams has taken a good opening of 30-35% which is better than most of the regular films. If you take into account its a docu drama then the opening can be called excellent as its not the normal Hindi film.

The opening has basically come because of one reason and that is Sachin Tendulkar. Last year M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story had taken a huge opening but that was a proper feature film which is not the case here.The opening of the film is very good in Mumbai circuits especially Mumbai city and Pune. Bangalore and Kolkata are also very good.

The rest of the country is lower but still good or decent. The film has a wide release in Hindi of 2000 screens plus and there is also a dubbed Tamil and Telugu version which could also do well due to the Sachin factor. In Hindi it is going to record a solid first day and it will be basically about holding collections, the coming days will tell if its just Sachin or does the film has some substance.

Pirates Of The Caribbean - Salazars Revenge has also opened to decent occupancy of around 20-25% and should put up a decent first day number. Overall its a good Friday this week as both the releases have surpassed expectations in terms of opening especially Sachin - A Billion Dreams

Sachin A Billion Dreams has got better critic reviews than Baahubali 2 and Hindi Medium. Hope it does well at box office but collections don't really matter for this movie.

Is it a movie or a documentary? If it is a movie, then who is playing Sachin or is Sachin playing Sachin on it?

watched it...nostalgia...it's a trip down the memory lane for Sachin's fan...with whistles and claps on lot of iconic moments and the chant "Sachin Sachin" the theatre turned into a stadium literally...and some candid moments of his private life,a few videos of him spending some time with his family...an insight of his life,the public pressure,media pressure,their expectations,overcoming problems,the highs and lows of his career...it covers everything from the start of his cricketing journey to his retirement speech...

Sachin Sachin!!!
