Et al, thanks for the responses. But let's agree to disagree. For me Ishwari is not a monster nor Sonakshi is a saint. I don't consider what Ishwari did as "sins". I consider them as "mistakes", something which even Dev, Sonakshi and Bijoy made in their own ways. What happened was a blunder for which everyone contributed in their own way. What was needed was understanding and tolerance from everyone and they needed to meet halfway of each other.

@Timbarucha, I read that fuzion article and feel that it is incomplete as it does not include Sonakshi. From my perspective Sona needs to do all 3 things that is mentioned in that article. Introspect her actions as to where she went wron, retrospect her flaws and faults and change perception that just because she knows right from wrong doesn't mean she never is wrong, that she can be wrong too.

Last but not least I totally agree with DQ and do not want to lose my objectivity and get carried away. My posts were not intended to hurt anyone, but just a few thoughts of mine. I don't mind being Dev wrong than being Sonakshi right. What I mean is Dev makes mistakes, but doesn't step back when it comes to accepting them and apologize for them. But Sonakshi as Mallika said in her post blames the other persons characteristics when things go wrong. I am not ok with blaming others for my deficiencies. 😃

Agree with you and your thoughts.

DQ

Thanks for clarification. You are right

Chitra

If one wants to glorify a ch. there is no need to do that at the cost of another. Dev's glory doesn't need to take resort to such things. He has his own glory.same is the case with Sonakshi. So I don't think Dev is over glorified and Sonakshi is less glorified. with purpose.

Finally the charecters are not pitted against each other but their behaviour in situations makes room for comparison.I feel so.

Shaavi

I agree with your comment on fuzion article. It was incomplete.

Looking forward to new week, new perspectives and a great time here.

@Lakshmi my point is though the intention was to compare the situation but it looked as if the characters were pitted to each other and in that process a character was glorified at the expense of other...may be while reading or writing the objectivity was lost becoz our mind focus on only things that we want to read based on our perceptions...and we form opinions based on our experiences...

Hey all, it's that time of week again. Here is the link to the new thread

Let's try to go into this new week of discussion keeping DQ's latest mod posts in mind. Before you post, take a moment to think about whether you are genuinely trying to bring something new to the discussion, or just trying to drive home a point/have the last word. I know it can be frustrating when people don't seem to see your point of view, but often, stating the same argument again and again doesn't help, and as time has shown, brings the discussion down to better/worse and right/wrong which is precisely the kind of conversation we want to avoid. That said, I second DQ in thanking all of you for mainaining cordiality even in disagreement!

Here's to a great new week, and apparently a new phase of the show!
