Saif Ali Khan Reveals d TRUTH behind his Divorce w/ Amrita S

Saif Ali Khan is having some of the best days of his life currently. With the arrival of his newborn, Taimur Ali Khan and some big projects in his hands, he is in a happy space, both personally and professionally.

But the 10th Nawab of Pataudi did have his share of some horrific personal problems in the past, one of which includes his divorce with his ex-wife Amrita Singh.

A throwback interview of Saif Ali Khan is now going viral. Reason? In the interview, he had revealed the real reason behind his divorce with his ex-wife Amrita Singh. He had also opened up about the scary incidents that he, his mother Sharmila Tagore and his sisters, Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan had faced.

Excerpts from his interview that is going viral:

"My wife and I have gone our separate ways. I respect my wife's space. But why am I being constantly reminded of how terrible a husband I was, and how awful a father I am' I've my son Ibrahim's photograph in my wallet. Each time I look at it, I feel like crying'. I miss my daughter Sara all the time," Saif said in his interview dating back to 2005.

He furtehr added that Amrita often called him 'worthless' and even took jibes at his mother and sister.

"It isn't nice to be constantly reminded of how worthless you are and to have taunts, jeers, insults and abuses thrown at your mother and sister all the time. I've gone through all of it."

He then shared that he paid Rs 5 crore to Amrita even after this ordeal.

Sharing his financials, Saif said, "I'm supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I've already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I'm paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18. I'm not Shah Rukh Khan. I don't have that kind of money. I've promised her I'll pay up the rest of the money, and I will, even if I've to slog till I drop dead."

With pain in his statements he revealed that the house he once owned is also occupied by Amrita now but he is happy that his kids are comfortable.

"Whatever I've earned from doing ads, stage shows and films is being given for my children. I've no money. Our bungalow is for Amrita and the kids, and never mind the relatives who've joined her after my departure," he stated.

"I really want my kids. But I don't want to put up a constant fight over them. If they are to be taken away from me then let Amrita call them Sara Singh and Ibrahim Singh. Let my daughter become 18 and ask me, 'Where were you Dad, when my brother and I needed you'' Let me die of shame. But please don't kill me with a feeling of constant guilt just because I've had the courage to finally walk away from an impossible relationship to find some solace." Saif shared.

On a concluding note, at that time, Saif had said: "I want no confrontation with Amrita. She was, and will remain, an integral part of my life. I want her and my kids to be happy."

He has money to buy flat for Babita. Back then, he may not have access to assets and nor was he a hard earring actor. Just like now, his movies flop badly and he still has money to shower his mother in law.

Guess the Pataudi wealth is just for show afterall..

Why is he talking about this many years later after he divorced her with two kids? Everybody knows that he cheated on her with an Italian model Rosa but now he is trying to play a victim card to prove him innocent.

I'm glad that Amrita got divorced from Saif.
