Pinky hits Annika where it hurts her the most I dont know what it would take her to get over her pain to give back to Pinky ! Its high time they change the dynamics bw Pinky and Annika !

On a slightly different track, the more important question for me as what the hell have they done to Pinky's character? They have taken an actually relatable (to some maybe?) character and made it into some kind of an vampish psychopath who seems to suddenly have no qualms about causing pain to her own son?

I said this at the beginning of this dramatic Pinky showdown - yes Pinky was always petty, insecure and loud... but she was relatable in more than a hundred other ways. Like, when she stood up for Jhanvi against Tej on several occasions... or when she couldn't stand to have someone insult her son or her son's name. Now suddenly this very woman is okay with dragging her son's name through the drain just for the sake of her insecurities?

Her problems with Annika's NKK would have been totally in character if they had let it play out more organically than this nonsense. It's totally not the same character... every character has a journey. Onwards. So on a whole for me, like the whole storyline of DBO, this too has got almost nothing to stand on.

Not only TV, I seriously doubt that show downs between MILs and DILs happen in such a manner... especially since in India in general there is a much more 'confucist' patriarchy prevalent. From all that I have seen, it's mainly suppressed under limitations of petty insults/underhand taunts or occasional low blows. So, asking for something like this on desi TV is a stretch, but maybe Ishqbaaaz will surprise us, yeah? 😆

she is there do work on the male lead solve his problem protect n do jassosgiri only fr him n his fam..and ofcourse to mellow the ML lead n fix him to be a spinleless joru ka gulam ultimately😆

Jolly , I made a similar comment yesterday in the hotstar thread. Why the hell is Anika quite, especially since she was forced into this marriage and Pinky knows that. My BP shoots up everytime pinky taunts Anika and Anika keeps quite!!!

But I suppose I have to make peace with the fact that Anika might never reply back to her MIL, being a star plus bahu and all... but but but Anika is a lousy cook and doesn't pray much ..so maybe she will be the exception here too and give a nice polite answer to Pinky's taunts ONCE Atleast!!

Coming to Lilly's point , yes, even in the real world MIL DIL all out confrontation will be extremely rare and in most cases it will be through the son/husband, the Bali Ka Bakra 😆
