Normally in any show and for a long term story the characters will have a back story and some kind of layers to them... if u see shivika, they had a definite issue with each other.. adding to anika's past and shivaay had his additions like tia and his brothers etc...so they have a lot of things in each character to explore..

here is dbo the issue is that there is nothing much left with the characters to expand and explore..

Tej only story is linked to swetlana.. we have seen om dealing with it in IB already.. now he himself can come over it.. so the only things we can get is some fight and arguements with omkara now and then with jhanvi's tears.. there is nothing more left with tej unless they bring some angle to his life which links omkara too

jhanvi unlike pinky has no layers.. she is accepting of gauri also now.. she is a goody two shoes mom.. there is nothing to explore about her

buaa maa.. i still dont know whats the purpose of her character.. she is the only one who can get a promising back story which can bring something into omkara life.. for now she is just like dadi in IB..

swetlana.. i dont even want to get to exploring her character with any more illogical stuff now.. had they got something more meaningful side to her role it would have made it interesting.. noone in the house wants her anyways.. and now when om marries gauri i dont think she has anything left to do..

lastly the leads themselves.. gauri's life has nothing to be explored..she is totally mahaan.. she is hopelessly dedicated to omkara.. hope they give us some insight to her past life.. but her mom and uncle aunt seemed like annoying characters to me previously.. something to her character will make a lot of difference..

and omkara.. we all know how in real omkara is.. as of now his character is just dwindling a bit. but he is a good man in real.. whenever he gets to know gauri's truth he wont really hate her for no reason any more.. love may not happen immediately but there may not be any friction...

i feel some kind of serious thought wasnt given to the characters while designing the show.. and illogical stuff dont work with the audience.. cos they dont like their intelligence tested..

kindly dont bash.. this is just my observation ... may be i m wrong..

You are right.. Characters didn't have strong story till now..they all are revolving around svet...makers wasted 2 months for showing svet raaz and connected dramas but now story came to the right track..story is moving...

I agree that the characters haven't been explored but I feel that Gauri is a very strong character and it has been shown in DBO quite a few times but I think it was not recognized because of the whole svetlana raaz nonsense...

If we start from the beginning of DBO, the tashan between Gauri and Om was amazing and their Nok-Jhoks were hilarious! Gauri was a strong character since the beginning and still is. Everyone has their own weaknesses and in Gauri's case, her weakness is her mother, Omkara and Omkara's family.. She can do anything for them and we have seen proof of that.. She literally agreed to marry KT to save Buamaa and Om's life... She even stood up to KT for them and even gave her famous one-liner (ek jhaap...) to KT only because of Om and Buamaa...

She used to be very afraid of him but still was strong enough to run away from the mandap (the first time, KT tried to get married to her)... She even took a knife on her stomach to save Jhanvi and Omkara...

There have been many occassions where Gauri has been shown as a very strong character but I guess viewers couldn't recognize it because the whole story was revolving around svetlana instead of RiKara... Now, the story is on the right track and we will get to see the dabang Gauri, RiKara's tashan, their Nok-Jhok and a bit of their romance...

I don't know about other characters but I am sure Gauri's character will be focused on and explored and people will see her as an independent, strong and dabang character as well as being a typical female lead (kind, sweet, caring, sacrificing etc; Honestly, I actually like these qualities in people a lot! 😛)

Anyways, hope all of you guys didnt get offended or anything by my post and hope all of u are willing to give Gauri a chance.. Soon, there will be tashan and nok-jhok between Rikara so that will be fun! 😆

My pov is little different. I would say CVS are not exploring the characters.All the characters are having layers if it gets explored..

They have only tried exploring Svet character which in the contrary become explosion rather than exploring.

Well moving on with Tejs and Janvis characters Janvi can become a strong women and I think gouri is going to help her on that path and similarly Tej will come in track for that reason that's when Om start feeling for Gouri..as for Om his mom is everything..This is only an assumption but can be explored. Let CVS think little creative rather than typical saws bahu story soo let Janvi be positive..

Anyway Tej is grey and now tho negative anyway..

Coming to Bua maa story her past is going to get explored but I don't want her become negative towards Gouri as the essence of her character will go.She is the most sensible and likable character in the show.

Omkaras character has lots more to offer if CVS can play it out properly. His whole past can be explored.His drug addictions, his love for paintings, his sayaris, mending relationship with his father,obviously his commitment phobia and whole and all his love story.

Same goes with Gouris character her past story about her family why she left her studies and start working how she become sooo fierce..her and Omkara love story is anyway there.She is going to become the pillar of strength for Omkara in near future on their journey of life together.

Lot can be explored..😛
