Today, I wept, and kept weeping after work when I heard these two songs and realised how popular they were:

From Pakistan (sung by Muslim Qawwals) about their memory of Kanhaiya:

From Bangladesh (sung by a young Muslim musician and singer) about Krishn Ji's legend:

For some of us, Hindustanis, from Peshawar to Kanyakumari, from Chittagong to Mumbai, it is ALL HINDUSTAN - Bharat - Jamvudeep.

Even though we hate each other now just like we did for thousands of years due to our kings and politicians, dividing our Jamvudeep into little warring kingdoms (now divided into three kingdoms), we are ONE. We are one and Kanhaiya cannot be erased from our hearts. I've seen Muslim friends and Christian friends from our Jamvudeep have tears when they hear Shri Krishna's bhajans.

Can and should we ever unite? A united, Akhand Bharat?

we have put satellite which will cater the needs, a virtual akand bharat,but yes seems tough but not impossible

I think entire planet is one! We all are one :)

As for Akhand Bharat, I love the thought of it.. but, realistically speaking, I don't see it happening, ever, maybe next century :(

I wish the entire region share a friendly, cordial, healthy relations encouraging more cultural and politico-economic flux, despite international boundaries. Atleast such unity of the subcontinent will do, but it looks like a faraway dream..

I don't agree that the entire planet is one. If it was, we would not have fought the British.

Jamvudeep, tatha Bharat, is definitely one. Modern day Pakistan is one of its parts, Modern day India is another major part, Modern day Bangladesh is its part, and modern day Nepal is its border.

We definitely need to unite under our common identity. I wonder who will be the unifier ... but the unifier will definitely come like they have a few times in history when matters were even more dangerous and we were even more divided.
