Ekta herself knows its better than most of her on going shows 😆 .. Shakti is one of a kind concept and though RS too hv made blunders in its story tracks but the unique concept and HaYa relation always kept it among top 5 shows of TV today 👏

Lol what else could she have said. 😆
Shakti is anyday better than most of her crappy bullshits with no head or tail of any story or concept. Though RS herself is not really a wonder woman & has introduced some gruesome tracks in Shakti as well...but thanks heavens she didn't drag them & ended them upon realization that fans aren't liking it. In Shakti, the concept is just totally brilliant & that alone compensates for the sloppy executions here & there. Add with that a brilliant cast ensemble & few amazing crew members & you can see why Shakti is certainly better than Kekta's crappy nonsense both content wise & performance wise.
I think I personally saw 2-3 articles on real transgender women getting married & living happily with their husbands since Shakti went on air. Slowly but surely Shakti IS changing our view regarding the transgenders...& so it does deserve every bit of appreciation it gets. & ALL the people involved with this show deserve standing ovations for having the guts to work in this project. ⭐️

Rashmi Sharma does deserve praise for mainstreaming something so taboo.

I consider myself a leftie- liberal who wanted to pull Trump by his hair for his attempts to marginalise transgenders, but am still made a tad uncomfortable by the romantic scenes between Haya.
What we don't know of can often make us uneasy.

The only previous celluloid representation of transgenders that I have seen is 2 european movies one in which the transgender was abducted, locked up and raped and the other where a guy had to choose between his straight girlfriend and a transgender-i interestingly in both the movies the transgender was a streetwalker.

Only kinnars can better tell how much of what is seen in Shakti is rooted in reality and how much is aspirational but still applause to RS for attempting to normalize something that is so out of the norm for many of us.
