I loved the episode last evening! I know many have commented on it being a filler episode, but for me it was a display of the immense love and affection Shivaay and Annika have for each other. It showed how these two are married to each other in every which way, they act like a married couple with each other and vis-a-vis everyone else.
- Ok, so granted that Annika's antics were very OTT, but it had to be. The goons had to be irritated enough to want to bump her off and for Shivaay to be pissed off hearing this criticism!
- I dont think there is any doubt as to whether Shivaay accepts Annika as his wife. This couple is to stay together in this marriage. I absolutely loved the way he immediately introduced his wife Annika on being recognized as Shivaay Singh Oberoi. A public declaration of who she is, irrespective of her NKK. Sure, he may struggle next week on being introduced to Nayantara, but will that change their relationship, I for one dont think so.
- Talking in code words - I am sure couples on this forum, esp married ones and those in long term relationships will appreciate that couples always have some code words or the other. Since our life isnt filmy, none of these may be related to impending danger but could be something as simple as referring to someone by a particular name which any third person cant make head or tail of. Annika's use of their code words and Shivaay's understanding of it (albeit belatedly) was another sign of them being together, them being married to each other.
- Protecting each other - I loved the way both of them were trying to protect each other. Sure they were still sparring while beating the **** out of the goons collectively, but it was evident that they were concerned for each other. When Shivaay asked Annika to run, I was like yeah right. This is the woman who took a bullet for you, sure she will leave you with two armed convicts! And vice versa. Shivaay himself was annoyed with Annika's antics, but how dare someone speak about his wife like that. It is his right to be annoyed with her, fight with her and shout at her. Because he loves her to pieces. Who the hell is this escaped convict to criticize his wife. And if this is the reaction when someone hasnt even hurt Annika (I doubt if his criticism meant anything to Annika), I dread to think of what will happen to Pinky Mom once her kartoots are revealed to Shivaay. Can't wait for that to happen!!
- Teamwork - Being married means doing things together, sharing responsibilities. So if there are escaped convicts to beat up, it has to be done together. Khidki tod / haddi tod jodi indeed. Breaking others bones and their own for each other!!
- Precap - Spoilers have brought about much relief for fandom. Shivaay isnt going to be shot. I dont think I could have handled Pinky Mom going ballistic on Annika on that account at all.
This light hearted week is going to be followed by an intense one. Lots of drama, lots of rona dhona. NKK / twin theory - possibly one or both will come to the forefront. This week has given me hope that Shivaay will stick by his Annika. He isnt going to let go of her just because she doesnt have NKK. I do think that the DNA test is going to bring about this major dhamaka in their lives and I am still worried as to who will receive Dr Goyal's call on Annika's phone (which has been left behind at OM). Shivaay may get angry / upset on finding out about the DNA test, but leave his Annika or make her go away whether due to NKK or DNA is unlikely. His realisation of love has been steadily becoming stronger and stronger. Bring on the drama Pinky Mom. I am waiting for your CHOP to happen!! And then OMM by your very own (or may be not!) Shivaay!!
