I used to be terrified of this as a kid...I probably still am.. haven't seen it yet..
There was something about the whole opening and closing theme of this show that scared the crap out of me..
Especially at start with the shivling with eyes(or was it at the end?)
And that tandav with firey silhouette..
I understand. I have heard the same from many. But for me it is not terrifying. despite the feeling associated with Tandav dance that it is a dance of destruction. There is another aspect of dance by Lord Shiv too. he is also called Natraj, means the supreme dancer. I see it as a beautiful, matchless dance, which mesmerises me. About the flame silhouette, that is symbolic I interpret. Lord Shiv is energy himself, flames are symbolic of the energy he is. That kind of energy is not always bad; and destruction is not always bad. If destruction is of evil. Shiv means welfare, means destruction can be good alsoo, for welfare of all; and of impurities. .
P.S.: Sorry for long answer 😆
