I got very put off by the Nani yesterday. I understand that it is a show and that they need conflict to keep it going. I don't mind that as long as the conflict is enjoyable.
Without offence, the actor who is playing naani is acting exactly like a stereotypical older vamp in hindi shows. Even her UP based dialect is like that. One of the best things about the show is that there is a naturalness to all the actors. I always attributed it to the show being Delhi-based. They are neither the typical soap actors nor do they exhibit similar mannerisms. With the naani, we're into hindi soap territory. I've seen similar acting and language in other shows and I'm not amused. Hope she exits soon, and other villains come in to cover up if need be.

In fact, yesterday after watching her in action with Karuna and Svetlana, I missed Harsh Chaya. He was subtle and won my heart every time he said 'anyway' instead of 'anyways'!

I sooo agree...Svetlana and Maama are enjoyable as Vilians. And SK's interaction with them is also a treat. They are all on same footing. They are each aware of what the other is capable of. SK knows what they are and handles them as needed.

But, with naanai, she is playing this emotional angle and is all set to play SK, MS. That is what makes this plot so ordinary...😕
