All Women Centric films are flop this year

Sadly when female actors women centric films flop. It all comes down to difference between male & female actors. There are differences with regard to societal acceptance. But still it also means: female actors with strong screen presence are missing. It also means maybe the film didn't have right balance of logic,story and entertainment. People may see a film if they like it. Even male actors films flop some times. But the bias is still tilted in their favour.

No wonder they will never get paid as much as male actors

A lot depends on story and trailer, I have noticed a few actress choosing either directors who they have already given a hit with or somebody new who does not have experience.

😭 Bollywood needs better female-centric scripts! Bottom line is that a good story with good acting and direction will make decent money. Maybe not blockbuster-status, but there can be profitable female-centric films.

We can add Rangoon to the list which revolved around Julia and if hit would have boosted female status big time in the industry.

Audience taste is cyclic and most current female stars lack inbuilt audience. They need to start to marketing themselves as a brand. 😊

And that's ok. Even in the US it is always hard. But that does not mean we should give up on it. A hand for all the brave women who stepped out into the unknown and took a risk. 👏
