Gaikwad dedicates CSK's 103-run win against MI to Mukesh Choudhary
No surgery for amnesia in general Praveen Bhai. Except in the cases where the memory part of the brain is getting affected by a tumor or blood clot from a traumatic event.
Post traumatic event disorder, from what I know is a coping mechanism where the brain suppresses a terrible event as a protective mechanism to prevent terrifying and harmful memories. So more or less this would fall under the category of a mental illness, that requires intense psychotherapy under the care of a psychiatrist and other behavioral experts. I am not a psychiatrist or a neurologist but in general terms this might include making the patient aware of that " event or incident" and to have them face the intense feelings associated with it in a safe environment and teach and practice various coping techniques. This will be a very slow and long drawn out process from what I can tell. Not as easy as I alluded to here.Disclaimer guys, I am not a neurologist or a psychiatrist, I am just sharing these facts from an internists perspective. If I am not giving the absolute facts, please do not hesitate to correct me. I don't want to feed wrong information. 😳Praveen bhai, you are not imposing on me at all. As you can see, I love to lecture and teach, so anytime😃
