Reason why I feel Monali Thakur is the best female singer currently

She has sung a song in Meri Pyaari Bindu - She deserves more of good songs. From likes of Pritam, AR Rahman, Vishal Shekhar etc...

Only Anu Malik, Sachin Jigar and Amit Trivedi have given her good break

Over the period she has sung every song beautifully

She won Best Singer Female at Filmfare for Sawaar Loon

I never understand the importance given to every mediocre song of Shreya Ghoshal

In todays era I feel Monali & Palak are ahead

I agree she is a very good singer... but I'd rather not compare her to Shreya Ghoshal, Shreya ji is on a higher level, IMO :-)

..Monali is very good though, I love her voice! One of the best today :)

As for Palak, hmm...IDK need to hear more of her, but she sounded like Shreya Ghoshal to me in the beginning, was actually shocked to know that it was a new singer and not Shreya Ghoshal :/

Overall one can't compare them as Monali is only been around for few years.

I only meant in recent years. Many lame awards show gave Sun Raha Hai na award over much loved Sawaar Loon and it was completely absurd to give Filmfare to Shreya for the millionth time for Deewani Mastani and Monali got nothing for Moh Moh Ke Dage but it was bigger victory for her winning National awards

Female singers are not getting good solo songs like once Lata ji, Asha ji, Kabita Krishnamutrthy , Alka Yagnik , Shreya Ghosal or Sunidhi Chauhan used to get .

Now all I hear is Arijit's voice in those melodious songs or auto-tuned,raping party songs. All the voices seem similar to me.

Monali Thakur has potential. She is a trained singer but need to be used more.

Shreay's voice is divine. She is way ahead.

But yeah they deserve much more I feel
