Badrinath Ki Dulhania grossed 3.50 crore nett in its fourth week to take its four week total to 112.50 crore nett. The film is the highest grosser of the year in Rajasthan and CI and at the end of the fifth weekend Delhi / UP, CP Berar and Bihar will join those circuits. It has also beaten the figures of the last films of all the big stars outside the Khans.

In another words the film has out grossed the last films of the stars who are probably above Varun Dhawan in the pecking order barring the three Khans. Below is a comparison.

They're already most ahead in their generation


I don't get what you're trying to say. Fans online are most limited set set of audiences. Many fans are little kids and elders who don't even use social networking sites. Varun has mostly benefitted as trades know what audiences feedback are and they've said time and again Varun has best mass appeal amongst Ranbir/Ranveer/Others. This was a March release. Since 1997, not a single big Bollywood films did extra ordinary business barring - few hits like Queen and Kapoor and Sons which relied on good WOM rather than star power.
