You know the drill. Here's the thread for today. If you refresh occasionally like you do for written update, you might be able to read as I update. I will start updating as the episode gets uploaded. You guys can continue your discussion. I will update as I go and change the title with EDITED when completed!!!

EPISODE: The episode starts with Sona finding out that Dev was giving her massage. She stands up and screams. Dev puts his hand on her mouth to shut her up.

The whole family hears her voice and come running. Bijoy thinks it must be a rat (*SNORT*)...

Anyways, Dev pleads to Sona not to tell her family that it was him with her.

Sona, still fuming, tells her family that it was a huge rat which she wants out of her room. She said that she will deal with it.

Her family leave.

Sona asks Dev why he was giving her massage.

Dev says that he was changing his clothes. She came in. It was an accident. He said that Sonakshi was watching him. She can say it.

Sonakshi says that she has no interest in him. He was the one who came into the room and started massaging her.

He says that he doesn't want to touch her anyway because Sonakshi looks like an aunty. Dev goes out.

Sona gets mad. She says that Dev looks like an old man.

Me: Achcha. To Bhaiya kya main yeh jawab lock kar loon ki aapko Sonakshi aunty mein koi interest nehin hain? Final naa?

Later, Dev says to Saurabh to go jogging and lose weight. Saurabh by mistake calls Dev Jiju and falls silent. Dev corrects him.

Asha tells him that Saurabh is not used to jogging. What if he gets hurt before his sangeet? Let's do this after this function.

Dev realizes that Saurabh should not push himself too hard now so close to his wedding. He agrees with Asha.

Me: You know, this track for me is comparison track. I am watching it and comparing season 1. Now you guys noticed how Asha responded to Dev?

Her response didn't make him feel that he should just mind his business and not interfere. But she also make him understand why she doesn't want Saurabh to exercise now with logic, not with authority of being the queen of the house.

Keeping in mind that Dev is not even related to them anymore and just a guest now.

Now compare this to Ishwari. Every time Sona opened her mouth, Ishwari made her feel that she is there on sufferance and she should just remain Dev's amusement. She should not try to interfere which is none of her business whatsoever and that she is the authority in the house and what queen says goes whether it's valid or not.

And that was when she was Dev's legally wedded wife.

I am glad CVs introduced this track. All the people who complained what Sona should or should not have done in her sasural need to see how sasural should treat a daughter-in-law. I can bet you that Asha won't have treated Ronita any differently than she treated Dev either.

We have pre-programmed rulebook for how women should behave with her in-laws. But we don't need any rulebook for how men should behave with her in-laws. Is this the double standard society we all want to continue to live in?

Bijoy tells Dev that in family everyone sits together and eats food. Dev taunts that he didn't know that Bijoy Bose considers him family.

Me: Abhi pata chalega ki Bijoy aapko kitna family maante hain. Woh aapko family maante the. Lekin abhi aap Mussouri ki kasam level pe nehin rahe naa.

Bose family sit down for lunch. Sona comes down and Dev stares at her open mouthed.

Me: Methinks Bhaiya has aunty fetish. That's not how I look at my aunty. 😆

Dev opens the bowls of food and it's all non-veg (all Fish I think). The family questions Bijoy. He pretends that he forgot that Dev is vegetarian. He asks Dev to go out and eat on his own.

Dev responds that he doesn't have to go out. He is sure he will find something to eat in this house.

Me: Bijoy, you play such stupid games that your own family turn against you. You should learn how to backstab from Ishwari. Kehte hain ki kaam ki cheez agar enemy bhi sikhaye, to sikh lena chahiye.

For example, demonstration is on her way.

Just then doorbell rings. Gunni opens the door and it's Ishwari standing with her dabba and Golu.

Golu runs to Dev.

Dev is surprised to see her. He asked what is she doing there.

Ishwari says that Golu didn't sleep all night because he was missing him so she brought Golu. And since she was coming at lunch time, she thought to bring some thing to eat.

Me: And this is the demonstration. Isse kehte hain doosro ke kandhe pe rakhke goli chalana. Kya sidha nishane pe maari hain.

Dev introduces Golu to the family. Everyone one by one introduces themselves to Golu except Bijoy who is miffed at his plan being useless...

Sonakshi tells Golu to come anytime after taking permission from his parents. He is always welcome.

Golu feels happy.

Me: Parents dikhenge to permission lega naa bechara. This is a very cute scene. Watch it. Well, just shelter your eyes from Maataji's smug smile which made me want to slap her.

Dev loves the smell of her cooking as well as Saurabh. Dev exclaims that his mother brought all his favourite food.

Me: *SNORT* Kuch khane ki cheez, my foot. Poora menu uthake laayi hain.

Dev eats her cooking and also feeds Soha and Golu.

Me: And also at the same time, encourages Ishwari to drop in again. Remember we talked about action and consequences? Every action has equal and opposite reaction.

If Dev had refused to take this food despite not having to eat anything due to Bijoy's trick, two things would have happened.

1. Ishwari would have never returned with her dabba.

2. Sona would have understood that Dev is no longer under Ishwari's influence.

3. His respect would have gone up in Bose family because he didn't let his mother show that the only person who is capable to care for Dev is her.

4. And Asha would have personally cooked food for him and Bijoy would have never dared to repeat this trick again.

Now let's take this scenario into a woman's sasural scene. Say, a woman is in her in-laws and they make something she doesn't or can't eat for whatever reasons even if her in-laws deliberately cooked something she can't eat. Her parents arrive with food and she behaves that she was starving for days and jump into the food. Would you say she portrayed a good image of her sasural in front of her family?

I hope, if Bijoy arrives with Asha's cooking (let's say even vegetarian cooking) in Dixit house and Sona not only eats it herself but also feeds Soha and Golu ignoring Ishwari's cooking because may be she no longer finds her cooking appetizing, Ishwari and Dev will be fine with it, yes? They won't feel that they have been insulted in their own home, correct?

Bijoy is angry that Dev is feeding Soha and Golu Ishwari's cooking. He says that is mother and nephew free with son. Ishwari and Dev hear him. Asha makes him stop.

Me: Bijoy, you are taking it too far. You have the right to resent Ishwari's presence. But you should not have taken your bitterness on an innocent child. He is blameless in all this. I am ashamed of you and I am sure your family must be feeling ashamed for you as well. If you can't control your anger, get out or ask your daughter to get out of your home with her ex and her daughter. But you have no right to take your anger out on a child.

Golu comes after washing up. Dev tells Golu and Ishwari to leave. Golu wants to stay longer. But Dev tells him that he will take them to picnic. Golu leaves with Ishwari.

Anyways, Sonakshi tells Bijoy that what he did was very wrong.

Bijoy asks what did he do? He was speaking to Asha. He was about to leave when Dev stands in his way.

Both raises their hand, Dev as if he is about to slap him and Bijoy in defence.

But at the last moment Dev puts his hands together and says sorry to Bijoy for his mother arriving with food and Golu. He says that when Sona goes to his home next week, the same rules will remain same for both families as well.

Me: Bhaiya, the rule you stated is very fair. It should have been applied and understood from the get go. Except you broke the rule first and then you expect the other party ignore this lapse and not break the rule too. How very convenient. What did you do to ensure that this rule is understood and followed in your family?

Did you let your mother know that she is not allowed to come to Bose house again during your stay? No.

Did you send her back with her dabba uneaten? No.

You not only broke the rule but relished her cooking as well.

So no, you don't get to set a new start for your rule after already breaking it. Last time you demanded fair treatment and equality? Here's equality for you. Bijoy gets to come with whatever reason to your house at least once and you and your mother will have to suck it up. That's how fairness works except when it comes to demanding fair treatment, you are very vocal but when it comes to dishing it out, you want to change the game.

Anyways, Dev is angry at his room at Bijoy. Asha comes there and apologises to Dev on Bijoy's behalf.

Dev tells her that she doesn't have to say sorry and he says that if she was upset because his mother came there, he is sorry for that too.

But Bijoy should not have said anything.

Asha says that a flowing river can be stopped until it gets flooded. Once flood comes, it's hard to stop. Bijoy also got angry and could not stop himself.

Dev says that when a river gets flooded, dam needs to be built. He also gets angry. He asks Asha to see how Bijoy talked to his mother. She didn't say anything and just left from there.

Asha remains silent.

Me: Seriously Asha? That's your response?

Okay Dev, let's see here. When your family called Bijoy a thief, a man who used his daughter for money (the daughter who is by the way was your wife) and insulted your brother-in-law, then you expected Bijoy to not create mountain of a molehill. And today one sarcastic comment towards your mother made your blood boil?

You slapped that man and you expected to be forgiven. Yet you dare to point finger at Bijoy?

Aur gusse ki aap baat kar rahe ho?

Bas itne mein aur itne kam time mein hi aap gussa ho gaye, Bhaiya? Kam se kam Sonakshi aur uski family ne aapka saath to diya. Zara sochiye ki jab aapka hare ek family member Sonakshi ko torture kar rahe the, tab kisine uska saath nehin diya. Aap bhi nehin. In fact, tab aap tamasha dekh rahe the.

And Asha, you are apologising to this man who only cares about his mother and doesn't give a shit about your family beyond what he needs to win over his daughter? Shame on you.

Anyways, Dev asks her in anger how did she put up with such a horrible man?

Asha looks at him. Dev says sorry, he didn't mean it.

She is about to leave. Dev says sorry again.

Asha says that today is Saurabh's sangeet and asks him to get ready in time.

She leaves and when she comes out, Sonakshi was standing there. She heard everything.

She is about to go in. Asha stops her.

Me: Bhaiya, look what your mother makes you do. You keep hurting people who care for you and you keep apologizing. But even today, you don't understand why Sonakshi left you. I am sure if there was an competition on self-centredness, you and your mother would have won the prize.

Ishwari and Golu come to Dixit house where Radha and Vicky were plotting. Radha asks why is she sad. Ishwari said that she "just" went to that house to spend time with Dev and Suhana and Dev asked her to leave.

Radha and Vicky incite Ishwari. Ishwari says that she just knows that a mother and son relationship is like letters written on stone. Water drops can't wipe it away.

Me: Achcha? God, iss aurat ki jhooth kabhi khatam hi nehin hoti. Kam se kam apne gharwalon se to jhooth bolna bandh karo. Agar maa bete ka rishta pathaar ki lakeer hain, to phir baar baar paani mein apni izzat dhone kyun jaati ho? Ghar mein chain se baitho.

Anyways, Radha and Vicky turn the screw. Vicky offers to hire a lawyer and snatch Suhana. Ishwari said that she doesn't want to create any problem for Dev.

Me: Maataji, agar itna hi fikar hain apne bete ki, to ghar pe baithti. Lekin aap chali gayee dabba pakad ke Golu ko bahana bana ke. Aur aap chali thi Dev ki shaadi karwane. Arre grandkid to dur, sangeet tak bhi nehin pahuchne deti aap.

Asha brings Sona to her room. Sona wants to talk to Dev. Asha asks Sona to think she is Dev and talk to her.

Sona tells Asha that she never asked Dev how he lives with the mother who never left any instance to put her down? How he lives with the aunt who never can think good about anyone? How dare he point finger at her dad when he could not even be a good husband?

Asha asks Sona, how does she know that her father was a good husband? Sona asks what does she mean? She watched them together.

Asha says that Sona just saw her father as a daughter. But she didn't see Bijoy as a wife. Whether her father was the best husband or not, only she can decide as a wife.

Me: Again, great suggestion. So you agree that when Sona says that Dev is a shitty husband, you should totally believe that because she was the wife who had to suffer him? Or is that statement was only for you?

Asha explains that her father wasn't always the person he is today. At one point he was a very angry young man. But at that time she changed herself and adjusted. Because in their times divorce wasn't an option. She said that no one is perfect. Bijoy and Asha are not perfect either. They had to work together being perfect. They worked on their marriage and they are happy now.

Me: Asha, that's a great advice. Now let me ask you. Did Bijoy in his fuming uncontrollable anger ever slap your dad? Did Dida ever treat you like a trash that Bijoy brought home for his amusement? Did Bijoy ever made you feel so small that you felt your existence questioned?

No?

Well, then it's like comparing someone who says her husband snores vs. someone who says her husband belittles her in front of his family. Not a comparable situation.

The only way either of your situations would have been comparable if you say that Bijoy raised his hand on you in his anger or threatened you physically. And if he indeed did that, then aren't you glad that in today's time we have something like divorce and no woman will have to put up with abuse?

By all means, be proud of you having a great marriage because you both worked on it. But the key word is that you BOTH worked on it. All the work and sacrifices were not one sided as Dev demanded from Sonakshi.

Taali kabhi ek haath se nehin bajti. Ek haath se sirf thappad padta hain jo aapki beti do baar Dev se kha chuki hain. Sorry, I doubt any mother asks her child to extend the other cheek for third slap.

Sona says that she didn't know that Asha tolerated so much. Asha says that it's okay. Sona can't judge her father based on what she says. Just like she can't judge Dev based on what Sona said.

Me: Except Asha, your husband is Sona's dad and Sona's husband is no one to you. So you may not be able to judge Saurabh based on what Sona says. But yes, you can judge Dev based on what Sonakshi says. I know you are unfamiliar with the concept. But it's called family loyalty which you don't have. Your husband does.

Aur Sona ko kuch bhi kehne ki kya jaroorat hain? Jo thappad aapke pati ke gaal pe padi thi woh kis liye aur kis situation mein padi thi, woh aapko pata hain naa? Aap to present thi wahan pe.

Just think how you will feel if Ronita had slapped you and Bijoy was all friendly and nice with her.

Anyways, Asha tells Sonakshi to not to stay angry on Dev due to his statement. After all Bijoy doesn't let any chance to taunt him. Dev is a great dad to Soha and if Sona is angry on him, it will affect Soha.

Me: Asha, I should applaud you. You see, you kind of relish when Dev taunts Bijoy. Fair enough. That's just joke, right? Yet, you expect Sona to forgive Dev because the taunts Bijoy throws at him? Why this double standard, Asha? Why not tell Dev too not to be angry at Bijoy too since he also keeps taunting him?

Sonakshi, last time you took your mother's suggestion, you know what happened. This time see through the double standard and use your brain.

Don't let your bitterness affect Soha. But make sure that Dev knows his limits.

But then, I should not expect much from you. You only listen to the advice Asha given which you want to listen.

PRECAP: Bijoy tells Dev to dress traditionally in Bengali function. He gives Dev kurta and dhoti.

Dev calls Sonakshi to tie her dhoti. Sonakshi refuses.

Dev tells Sonakshi that if she doesn't tie his dhoti, he will come out in his underwear.

Me: I am least interested in any romance. So meh.

Bhaiya, kya farq padta hain? Aap kapdo se respect dikha ne ka koi matlab nehin hain naa. Yeh to wohi baat ho gayee ki Diwali mein gift bheja lekin ghar mein be-izzat kar di. Agar phati hui jeans pehenke bhi logon ki izzat karte, to aapki bhi koi izzat rehti.

So today we get to see Asha is not perfect ,I cant believe the level of bullshit she's spewing and level of double standard .

By this logic tho they are saying you should tolerate domestic abuse ,just because you want to have relationship 😆😆😆

This whole making bijoy maniac and asha senseless is just make way of sona in dixits house 😆😆

Indian shows and their ways of justifying insults and abuse.

And CV's can you tone down your hero raising hand on Elders 🤢🤢

Waiting for your review. Went to see phillauri. It's such a good movie. It feels nice to know that a young actress like anushka sharma produced such a movie. And tia after hearing you rave about Pepsi I tried it out instead of coke. I don't agree with you on the Pepsi bit. It's nothing but highly sweetened cold black coffee filled with carbon dioxide. So how was dixit vs bose today. Did bose family attain sainthood yet ?

Oh no.. Sona's beauty pride is hurt.. Now she had to spend extra time on make-up and look good for Dev Bhaiya.. Of course she needs to be jealous now that bhaiya's WhatsApp list of young gurls (not aunties) waiting for his call.. 😉😆
Sona, forget Soha.. Get on your routine to look young.. Yes seven years back.. To flatter your daughter's father who is as handsome and popular as ever.. 😆
