Awesome post..šRegarding the Ganesha symbolism, when I saw the scene again, I felt like they were trying to signify Maya removing God from Arjun's life and taking his place, rather than Maya removing God from her life. Even her dialogue about removing everyone from his life "including God" so that only she has rights on him also seemed to signify a one way removal. It din't look like she was telling God " I don't need you anymore because I have Arjun" but rather she was saying "Arjun does not need you anymore because he has me and no one but me has any right on him".I guess we will have to wait and see if she still has her conversations with God or if she has eliminated God from her life as well.I agree, they have gone too far ahead without showing any indication / symptom of MPD to now turn around and call Maya's issue that.Psychopath/Sociopath seems like a more logical explanation for her condition but I am not sure if the makers will ever label her as a "psychopath" on the show. The reason being, in mainstream media "psychopath" is rarely considered as a curable mental illness (I am not even sure if it is curable). The term has a very negative connotation to it and for a layman watching the show a psychopath is a "crazy", "psycho" villain.I don't know if that is the route they want to go. Generally in movies and shows once the main character turns "psycho" then it almost always ends with their death or them in a mental institution. Rarely have I seen a movie /show where they have a "they heal and go on to have a happy life", kind of ending for such characters.Let's see what they plan to use to explain Maya's condition. What her infamous "Sach" is.I just hope it's something that makes sense and leaves scope for some sort of redemption.

Properly analyzed & very well presented khushi di...š³
From all the info u hv shared about sociopath & psychopath (thanx) I hv understood her behavior in different times , now in a better way .
That scene where she is confessing infront of idol is surely that weak conscience , who knows of all the wrongdoings but in front of her obsession everything is jayaz .
Plus , our dear Jennifer has been marvelous , she has done full justice to all the tidbits of the character...āļø
