Awesome post..👏

Regarding the Ganesha symbolism, when I saw the scene again, I felt like they were trying to signify Maya removing God from Arjun's life and taking his place, rather than Maya removing God from her life. Even her dialogue about removing everyone from his life "including God" so that only she has rights on him also seemed to signify a one way removal. It din't look like she was telling God " I don't need you anymore because I have Arjun" but rather she was saying "Arjun does not need you anymore because he has me and no one but me has any right on him".
I guess we will have to wait and see if she still has her conversations with God or if she has eliminated God from her life as well.

I agree, they have gone too far ahead without showing any indication / symptom of MPD to now turn around and call Maya's issue that.

Psychopath/Sociopath seems like a more logical explanation for her condition but I am not sure if the makers will ever label her as a "psychopath" on the show. The reason being, in mainstream media "psychopath" is rarely considered as a curable mental illness (I am not even sure if it is curable). The term has a very negative connotation to it and for a layman watching the show a psychopath is a "crazy", "psycho" villain.
I don't know if that is the route they want to go. Generally in movies and shows once the main character turns "psycho" then it almost always ends with their death or them in a mental institution. Rarely have I seen a movie /show where they have a "they heal and go on to have a happy life", kind of ending for such characters.

Let's see what they plan to use to explain Maya's condition. What her infamous "Sach" is.

I just hope it's something that makes sense and leaves scope for some sort of redemption.

Yes Shruti...On face value, due to the self talk, it does appear that Maaya has done the immersion for Arjun...But frankly, Arjun never really believed in God in the first place...I think it was Maaya's conscience that was immersed in the water...

N anyway, today's epi further confirms it...

N yes, most probably there won't be a happy ending for Maaya...But I'm just hoping against hope...

Hello everyone!
This is my take on Behadh story.

The plot of story talks about 3 persons' life- involving two divergent relationships.

Two competing & contrasting relationships -one led by obsession and another by purity of love.
One love is outright selifish and another is supposedly selfless!
Guys, we are only talking about female Leads here. T
he plot is silent about male lead's love. So, don't blame Arjun! Perhaps he is meant to only receive and not expected to return or reciprocate back to his ladies. . . . Just in a ligher vein!

(Well, it is debatable if the so called 'pure' love is indeed pure or selfless! ... If it falls short of audience' expectations, don't blame characters . . .put it squarely on the heads of CVs!)

So,coming back, It will not be very difficult to guess which type of 'pyar' will prove to be 'behadh' and eventually becomes intolerable and justifying the opening tag line. . . Hadh se jyatha. . . etc .. etc..
No prizes really for guessing the outcome of battle! Ofcourse, one can safely bet on the tussle is going to be very intense & one hell of Behadh/epic battle.
And sadly, outcome is not going to be a popular choice! Good guys will emerge victors!
Unless the CVs decide to change their course midway, nothing will change in a pre-scripted finite series show and importantly, JW has time and again clarified that beginning, journey and ending of story are all pre-decided, settled and hence no scope for any tectonic change!
She herself says that she does not prefer to alter/drag the storyline.
It is a very conscious consideration to potray the most popular face as a grey character and that will remain that way till the very end. Any change will only undermine the impact it has generated so far.
The third lead will not be necessary, if the intention is to give a positive spin to the grey character at the end. Any less weight character like Ashwin for example could have done the job of provoking, till the very end and give everyone a happy happy ending!
So, moral of story, don't raise Behadh expectations, and end up in disappointment.

Properly analyzed & very well presented khushi di...😳

From all the info u hv shared about sociopath & psychopath (thanx) I hv understood her behavior in different times , now in a better way .

That scene where she is confessing infront of idol is surely that weak conscience , who knows of all the wrongdoings but in front of her obsession everything is jayaz .

Plus , our dear Jennifer has been marvelous , she has done full justice to all the tidbits of the character...⭐️

Last week's episodes proclve beyond doubt that now Maaya has absolutely no qualms about what she's doing.

Most striking feature is her response to sight of blood: it matches with that as described in the medical article...

O yes...Jen has been super marvellous!⭐️
