Noughties? Lol I enjoyed her dancing on screen actually. And I don't mind her voice that much. Everyone tells me I sound like a 12 year old boy so...maybe that's better than smokers voice...I don't know.

Rani is a brilliant actress, even her latest Mardani was fabulous!

I think from mid 2000s she started concentrating more on her personal life so didnt focus that much on her career

also the top actors, Khans etc started working with younger, newer actresses so Rani, Preity and all were pushed to the side and started doing woman oriented movies which might do average business but dont get hyped like the Khan movies.

IDK. I feel like she does great playing the sad, broken girl and the the other end of the spectrum is the super happy bubble chick. A lot of her roles have been just that. Back was unique with her playing a blind character and she enacted that well, and Aiyya, the seductress who knows what she wants. I just feel a lot of her roles were very similar to each other. The end points of the stories may have been different but her roles in them were the usual run of the mill. Thats not to say she enacted them with any less finesse. She has always done an amazing job playing the roles she's given.

I think about the time when she was declining there were 'fresh' young heroines like Kat, DP, PC, Anushka and so on.. Sad to say, but I think in Bollywood, her 'heroine' career ran it's course... I hope she keeps acting..
