DP Replaced By Malavika Mohan in MM's Beyond d Clouds 1st Look

For the longest time now, there have been speculations made around the leading lady of Iranian film maker Majid Majidi's next - Beyond The Clouds - an international film set in India. The filmmaker has finally found his leading lady now. The female protagonist of Majidi's next - Beyond The Clouds is Malavika Mohanan, daughter of renowned cinematographer K.U Mohanan and a well rounded theater artist. Confirming the news, spokesperson from Zee Studios and Eyecandy says, "Yes, Malavika is on board to play the leading lady in the film - Beyond The Clouds. Mr. Majidi did a look test with her and was very happy with the results. She has started the shoot in Mumbai." "Mr. Majidi found his character in Malavika. He was looking for a face, that could fit the character and own it and for him, Malavika made the cut"," says a source close to the project. For all those who don't know, produced by Zee Studios and Eyecandy Films, Beyond The Clouds is a beautiful story centered around a brother sister relationship. Majid Majidi is known for some of his phenomenal works like Children of Heaven, The Colors of Paradise and Baran across the world. Mr Majdi has always weaved magic on screen with new faces. For Ishaan to have bagged a role in such a talented filmmaker's movie is a BIG deal in itself. Talking about Ishaan, Majidi had recently said,"Ishaan is a wonderful boy. He is extremely talented and I feel, he will have a bright future in the film industry." While Ishaan started shooting for the film last month, Malavika has just started shooting for her part few days ago.

There were rumours doing the rounds that Deepika was also a part of the film. She had even given the look test for Beyond The Clouds but her name was later dropped from the project. Talking about DP, Majidi had said, "I want to work with Deepika, but for this film, we'll have to go with new faces." Fair enough!
