Shivika are truely the best couple ever. Honestly I never enjoyed love hate stories because somehow they didn't make sense for me. But shivika proved me wrong. They both are so different as individual and as a couple than any other tv show.

As you correctly pointed out that they actually love each other and are not physically attracted. I don't remember any scene where shivaay is just drooling over annika and those closeup shots of their eyes staring each other. In fact the hugs that we got were all so beautiful and pure rather than just a physical contact. They actually respect each other. And most importantly their relationship always grows with every episode.it is not stagnant.

They respect each other from the day one I feel. Shivaay from the first meeting itself was shocked to see a person who didn't care of him being SSO. She was happy and strong without money and name which he thought were always important coz that is how he was brought up. Somewhere deep down he respected that and hence wanted to break her coz he knew she would never tolerate it and would reply back. Deep down he wanted himself to be proved wrong which he started believing and that's when he got attracted towards her. Not because she was beautiful and chirpy and all. But he got shattered coz I that person ( we r not supposed to name him😆) . But after those things were cleared he has always respected her, cared for her. Most important thing is he knows that she is important for him but can't accept her coz of NKK but he doesn't deny. And that would take time coz loving a person and accepting her are two different thing.for that he has to change his ideology which is difficult coz it has been with him since his childhood. So I am ok infact happy if the confession takes time.

Whereas annika has always been a fighter .she has fought the world alone from her childhood that too with a smile coz she knows she has nothing to loose accept sahil who is her weakness. She never felt the need of anyone's support maybe coz an felt everyone would pitty her aur uspe daya karenge. Maybe that's why she never let her fears come out. But she know that shivaay uspe kabhi daaya nahi karenge, he would not judge her coz of her weakness and that's why when she got scared for the first time she called shivaay and we got our first beautiful hug. Best thing she felt so secured in his arms and there was no discomfort. Now she has fallen in love with this person because he gives her support and strength which she never got since her childhood. She can rely on him and she does not have to be strong in front of him always.But with this comes the fear of loosing him. She knows he can't accept him but can't leave him too coz he cares for her so much.

There love is beyond anything and their relationship ( which they can't even name ) is very special for both of them. Now they don't feel the need to confess or say anything they just know about it.

Their hugs are always beautiful but am eagerly waiting for that day when shivaay would initiate the hug and that too in a romantic way, so far he's initiated hugs only twice once after rescuing annika from that scary hanging and the second was yesterday after consoling her post her nightmare 😳
And yes I agree with you that it would take some time for a person to change his ideologies that he has grown up with 😊
