The best actress race has been kicked off with Kangana's Julia. 🥳

Tripathi was good too...but there are many good performances coming up. This will be a fun year again for actresses and potentially even more exciting than the last year's.

Dunno about the Best Actress but the Critics Award is reserved for my janu. 🥳

The Anand Gandhi one. Where she is playing the role based on his Gujarati eccentric mother. She starts shooting in April.

What i am worried about is that Kangana is also playing the role of a Gujarati woman in the US and her movie also releases in Sep. I am sorry Imagine Ji but i will be praying hard for Simran to flop. Pehlay say bata raha hoon. 😉

In my analysis its a VERY weak year for female performances. Alia has no release other than BNKD and DP has only Padmavati, which in all probability is going to bomb and even if it didn't its going to be a Ranveer/Shahid showcase.

I think 2017 will finally be the year of Anushka Sharma. With Phillauri (which looks great) and Rehnuma (could be great).

That leaves us with the Critics Awards and the possible contenders for that award are:

1. Vidya (Begum Jan)

2. Sridevi (Mom)

3. Tapsee (Naam Shabana)

4. Kajol (for the unnamed movie)

5. Kangana (Simran)

I am not even going to place Sonakshi in the list cuz we all know whats going to happen to her movies. Only a miracle can save her career. Maybe if she gets Neerja like appreciation.

So IMO 2017 is all set for Anushka to win the Best Actress Award and the critics will be amongst these 5 and will depend on the fate of their respective movies.

Lol Sonakshi's Akira opened to 5cr without any industry help and praises for all twitter bandwagon celebs/critics. Tho movie flopped due to its flaws. But giving 18cr weekend (Akira) is much better than 26cr lifetime (Katti Batti) after giving 150cr + film lol

Hasnt Rangoon with 3 so called stars - opened around at same range. Honestly call Kangana a good actor or what, but without script she is nothing mate. Same applies to many actresses 😆
