Before we jump to tonight's episode and Shrenu's superlative execution of the role, the men in action need to be applauded!
To all my friends, at IF and elsewhere, who chide me for supposedly overrating Gul & Co's shows/characters every single time, tonight is when I feel like shouting from the rooftop - No one/absolutely no one on Indian TV has managed to BEAUTIFY their characters as much as these guys do.. (Of course, I do have plenty of Non-Gul favourite shows and characters too, and perhaps I adore them just as much.)
But the fact remains that Gul and Co. seem to have mastered the skill over the years..

1. The first shot of Gauri's fall.. 2. Omkara getting the feels and stopping dead in his tracks.. 3. Gauri breaking into a sprint.. 4. And the upcoming train sequence.. That's stuff you can't teach in Photography/Direction workshops. The talent is either there or it's not.. And fortunately, for Arshad-Atif and particularly RajuJi, the DoP it's there in Spades!
Take a bow, you awesomely talented people.. 👏

I cannot tell you how much i agree with you!!
Yes the aesthetics of the whole show is there from the beginning from art direction to using different camera shots and angles Ughh one of the things i love about DBO these days. Like pata chal raha hai kam ata hai in logo ko because they try to give a bit of cinematic feel to the drama and even i have noticed they have done alot of color grading too and now we are gonna have that fall scene which was shot on chroma and i am really excited for that particular scene like how they are going to execute it. 😃

Absolutely.. And I can relate to what you're saying because I've been closely observing these guys over the years..
The downside - Gul loses both faith and interest in her own babies once they're established.. So continuity can be an issue, particularly with respect to the cinematography.

But yeah, as of now, I'm the happiest coz my latest muse look awesomely beautiful.. And the fact that Shrenal are fantastic performers is making us up the ante..

I'm literally counting hours.. I have a feeling the train scenes are going to be memorable.. Like the Gul Khan kinda memorable..

Btw, these guys are really good with Chroma.. There's even a BTS video from one of their previous shows..

agree and its my second GUL show so i dont know their improvement better than you but even if you compare IB with DBO DBO really stands out cuz jitne shots yaha pe use hwe hai utne IB mai bhi nahi hwe and yes there's always been a continuty problem but at least her team is trying new stuff.

@BOLD--- OMG tell me which one i would love to see how they have executed it? 😆

Veey true again.. The graphics and cinematography in IB was far more superior than their previous shows.. A clear result of evolution.. And DBO is one step ahead, atleast from what we've seen so far..
So yeah.. As of now we have no reasons to worry, unless of course she starts butchering our favs..

Can't post it here na.. PM'ing you.. 😉

I completely agree. I just came back from twitter after seeing some really beautiful Gifs of the shots from some talented people and I realized that the cinematography is so on point! I especially liked the shot where they show Gauri's feet as she runs away from the Haveli. That was an extremely brilliant shot. And I love the way they structure their mid-shots too. I am pretty sure Kunal doesn't look as handsome as he does in that railway station shot in real life. It's the brilliance of the shot. Oh and the aesthetics of every scene Good lord! these people are so talented.
Gul's technical team is love. I have never seen any of her shows before IB properly but I have seen some romantic scenes of Maneet and Arshi. The aesthetics and lighting in their scenes makes anyone fall for them. I strongly believe the craze for ArShi had a lot to do with the execution, lighting and camera in their scenes. And they only improved it in IB . IB has a very unconventional way of execution of scenes, there is a novelty in their shots and execution and that makes the show tick. Two of my favourite shots in IB is the bird's eye they used when Shivaay was chasing Anika when he was forcing her to marry him and Omkara's entry scene. And in DBO, Om and Gauri's entry shots were so beautiful, so were the shots with Rahul Dev. But I do get occasionally miffed with the editing in IB but they are doing better in dbo.

Yes, the whole episode was shot beautifully and it was edited nicely to seem all are natural. The photography also very well. All actor were shown clearly in close-up shot.👏
