Part 4
Arjun is frustrated. He begins to drink.
Maya: How much are you going to drink? Please stop drinking. We will find out a way. Everything will be fine.
At Sharma House, Dr. Gandhi checks Karan's blood pressure. He said, "You shouldn't be taking that much stress. Arjun is young & innocent. You should give him some time to think. You should have asked him before taking this important decision."
Karan: I thought he likes Saanjh but at the end moment he refused.
Dr. Gandhi: If he had liked Saanjh, he would have accepted it. You have only widened the gap by doing this. Don't worry, I will talk to Arjun.
He goes to Arjun & finds him in a drunk state.
Arjun: It is good that you came here. I was coming to you to ask what to do.
Gandhi: Stop drinking & listen to me. Your dad loves you a lot. He has helped your mom when she was in distress. He accepted her with you and has also given you his name. He loves you a lot and does not have anything against Maya or Ashwin but you will be happier if you marry Saanjh.
Arjun: If my dad was alive he wouldn't have taken an important decision without consulting me. He is only my mom's husband but not my father. I know very well with whom I will be happy. I was alone till yesterday but since Maya came back, I no longer feel lonely.
Gandhi: Whatever differences you have with your dad, you need to speak to him & sort out the differences. You cannot build up the world blindly leaving everything.
Arjun: Fine, I will speak to my father and take the decision whether to stay in that house or not.
He goes to his place
Meanwhile, Ashwin goes to Sharma House & meets Karan. He said, "I know there are a lot of personal differences between us. We had good relationship earlier which got screwed because of my brother. Trust me, I was not even aware that my brother would do such a thing. I have come here as your son is in love with my daughter. I have come here for Maya's happiness. Please don't punish her for my brother's crime."
Karan: Instead of leaving my company, if you had spoken to me, I might have considered it. But you have not only chosen to leave my company and started your own establishment but also stood against me in the elections, representing the opposition party. I don't trust you.
Ashwin: I did come to you to talk to you but I never had an opportunity. I had to leave your company when people below me started bullying me.
Karan: You could have come to my house and spoken to us. You could have done something good and have convinced me that you are not like Arvind. I was still happy for you when you have established yourself but you could have represented my party. Our views are completely different.
Ashwin: The question is not about me. It is about our children. We have to forget our past at least for them. What is their fault? I know that Arjun does not even consider you as his father. This is an opportunity for you to prove him wrong.
Karan: Are you going to teach my how to win Arjun's, heart. I'm his father. I know what is good and bad for him. You may leave now.
Ashwin: I'm going but before that, I will definitely tell one thing. You don't have the heart of a father. Arjun loves my daughter and he will come to us for sure. If he elopes away with her, then you will neither your son nor DIL will be with you.
He leaves.
Vandana is happy to see Arjun coming back but is also upset with him. She said, "Will anybody leave the house like that and go or what?"
Arjun: I have not come here to stay even now. I want to speak to Mr.Karan Sharma before I finally leave. I want my share in the property if he does not accept Maya. Otherwise, I will file a case on him for pushing me into marriage with Saanjh.
Vandana: What are you talking? Karan has done a lot for us. He has given us a good life. If he has decided something, he feels that your happiness lies there but if your views differ, you can always sort them out. You should have at least told me. I would have supported your decision.
Arjun: Why didn't you say anything at the party?
Vandana: When you have created the scene what could I say?
Arjun: I appreciate Karan that he has done a lot for us but he cannot take dad's place.
Vandana: I will speak to him.
At Mehrotra House
Ashwin: I spoke to Karan but he has not agreed. Maybe Arjun or possibly can knock some sense into his head.
Maya decides to speak to Karan the next day.
