chalo, even with short success, heis ultimate star, legend of Bollywood.
such stardom will never ever be matched by anyone.
only one who comes close to him is Rajesh Khanna.

and raj kapoor... 🤢 he did do some awesome movies, but mostly, nah babba, that short pants and topi...what turn off.
dilip over him any day.

Paa,Sarkar series,Black etc etc he did lead role.
He is still doing lead roles at the age of 74 and getting success.
In brand value and income he is still on top.
In Forbes list Amitabh was at no3 in India in income or highest paid I dont know
At 74 he is maintaining that stature.remarkable

It's become a trend to leave Rajesh Khanna out of the equation because the media is all over AB these days. Yet, at the peak of their powers, no one comes even close to Rajesh Khanna as a star. As an actor, he was phenomenal too. As a star, he's unprecedented.

The thing with Amitabh Bacchan is that he was after Rajesh Khanna waned as a superstar. But we have to remember that those were the days of multistarrer action dramas. Rajesh Khanna wasn't part of that clique because he didn't want to be and still he was delivering amazing movies (and Hits). Amitabh's biggest Hits are all multi-starrer action dramas. Beyond that genre, he wasn't all that big, barring a few exceptions.

It also helps that AB had a lot of backing from insiders (he was Rahul Gandhi's friend). That doesn't, however, mean AB wasn't a demigod back then. He was. He's easily in the top-5. He's just not #1 as the media wants you to believe.

Funny I feel the same about Rajesh Khana.. I feel that he didn't have longevity.. he was on top barely 5 to 6 years.. but amitabh despite him being in multi starer movies he played memorable rolls.. he was the heart and soul of movies like sholay amer Akbar Anthony and even Naseeb and Shaan.. so i disagree.. the fact that he got mostly multi starrer movies and managed to make those movies his own should tell u that how good he was..

I also think raj kapoor was one of the first 3 stars in the Hindi cinema..in the 50 and 60s..it was raj kapoor dev Annand and dilip kumar..just like the 3 khans now..
