Reading his recent Bio, it got me thinking about What Era does Rishi belong too? who do you consider his contemporaries to be?

Rishi Kapoor made his debut in 1973 as a hero. In the 70's there were no other major (actor) debuts. Guys like Amitabh, Vinod Khanna, Shatru made their debuts in the late 60's, and other top actors of that time like Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shashi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna etc.. all made their debuts in the early to mid 1960's, so all these actors were seniors to Rishi Kapoor

Then later once the 1980s came, again there were many new debuts, like Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Jackie, Sunny Deol etc... now to these actors were juniors to Rishi Kapoor, so what era does he belong too? I am confused 😕

He even worked with the Khans in the 90s, playing same age as them

Selected contemporaries-

70's - Rajesh Khanna (waning popularity but still had hits here and there) ,Amitabh (he single handedly dominated starting with 70's Zanjeer), Vinod Khanna, Rakesh Roshan, Shatrugan Sinha, Shashi Kapoor- One of the reason why Neetu gave on why she was leaving film industry was because she was a paired too many times with Shashi. And after marriage it was awkward.

80's- Amitabh Bacchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Vinod Mehra, Sanjay Dutt

90's - Shahrukh Khan, Aamir, Sanjay Dutt, Anil, Jackie

Thats true, however it seems Rishi was alone, I mean there were no other actors around his (age), the ones who made their debut in the 60s were good 8-10 years senior to him, while the ones in the 80's were a good 8-10 years younger then him, Rishi seems to be the building bridge between these two generations, this is why in his Bio he talks about both the 60's and 70's era and the 80's and 90's era, because he was around in both and could get along with both generation of actors as (friends). Very few other actors had that chance, because most of them were stuck to their generations of actors and friends

Nearest to him would be Rakesh Roshan who is 3 years older. They are both industry kids. They grew up around movies.
