colours of paradise/baran/song of sparrows.

These 3 are really heart touching stories replete with deep human longing/love even when people go about their daily routine in stunning locales.

Children of Heaven... his career best with an Oscar nomination nod.

Yes, Majid Majidi is one of the finest director in Iran. He made the oscar nominated movie Children of Heaven, there's a Bollywood remake of this movie called "Bum Bum Bole".

The Color of Paradise, Baran, Songs of Sparrow are some of his best work.

I'll be honest, I hadn't even heard of him till DP did that look test. I didn't know he was such a prolific film maker till forum members brought it up. 😆 😲

I have however heard of Children of Heaven, but haven't watched it.
