Why didn't Bobby Deol make it far??

I just read an interview of Bobby deol which was posted on this forum, about how he wishes to make a comeback. I was hit by nostalgia right than as I remember watching many of his films in theatres such as Gupt and Solider and Barsaat. He was a decent actor who worked in some good films so what went wrong why didn't he ever get that far after doing some good films?? Please discuss

from what I remember he was prone to throwing starry tantrums on set. it was also time when khans were growing big and camps were building around them. Akki saved himself by kjo's bestie.
