On Indian TV, especially on the Hindi GEC space, several shows come, go and survive at the mercy of the TRPs. Here's a look at the top 5 shows that didn't perform as expected on the TRP chart in 2016!

Naamkarann

Naamkaran:

Naamkaran has created a lot of interest among the viewers because of its unusual concept which was depicted in the movie Zakhm.

However, the show has not been able to receive as much as attention as the previous show did on the same time slot for Star Plus.

Naamkarann took over the most successful and long running show, Diya Aur Baati Hum, on Star Plus but unfortunately has not been as successful as DABH.

We expected this show to be a good show and it turned out to be stupid show.

Viraf's character was a waste / weak when show started, we heard ashish story and could not understand his weakness or his not supporting his wife and now his kids.

His kids are suffering and this guy is drunk sleeping somewhere, Where is he why not wake up and stand against your mother. why Avni the 10 yrs old girl should suffer and her papa should live like uff..

i expected more sorrow from him after asha death but this idiot is a waste.

Now they want high TRP

kick this show out

viraf's talent being wasted

Yes good point are in

Avni - arsheen is found with this show as a very good actress

reema lagoo acting is always good and sayantani performances are good as well but story is dumb.. how long can we suffer the hate how long can we bear it

one thing..

Daya accepted the baby saying he didn't drink mother milk but forgot that he is her blood, a part of her body .. also a muslim mother son..

story become dumber day by day but ok chalo entertainment k naam pe kuch b de do hum khalenge.

Untill... it will cross all limits we might stop watching it.

The show is unique and there is no doubt about it...
But sometimes it was irritating to watch Ashish and Asha ... 🥱
Personally I to watch the show
I think it happened with other too ..

Personally I quited to watch the show
It is I meant ...

Yes I don't watch it.
I just can't tolerate any kind of triangle so...

And I talked about when the show had started.
It was not a typical Saans-Bahu.
It was something that made people to think.
This type of relationships exists in society.

But now it is crap ..

Out of all, Naamkaran and Dahleez carried the best storylines. Dahleez didnt attract trps because of its realness and Naamkaran is changing its initial plot to get the numbers. Its sad.
