Meryl Streep is overrated says Trump

Donald Trump was not surprised that "Hillary lover" Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech at the Golden Globe Awards to criticize him.

While accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Sunday night, the actress railed against the president-elect and called on the press to hold him accountable during his presidency. In a brief interview with the New York Times afterwards, Trump said he was "not surprised" that he had come under attack from "liberal movie people."

Trump " who said he did not watch the show or her speech " said Streep was "a Hillary lover."

Then, in a series of tweets, he said Streep was "overrated."

In her speech, Streep said Trump "broke her heart" when he mocked Serge Kovaleski, the reporter who has a congenital joint condition.

"There was one performance this year that stung " it sank its hooks into my heart. Not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. It did its job. It made the audience laugh. It was that moment when the man asking to sit in the most important seat in the country mocked a disabled reporter."

"It kind of broke my heart when I saw it and I still can't get it out of my head, and this instinct to humliaite when it's modeled by someone in a public platform filters down into everyone's life."
